If you drive your car hard this is why you need to add more than what’s called for. Both of these were factory fill levels. This is what will hurt your car…not an extra 1/2 a quart of oil. IMG_7257.jpeg IMG_7258.jpeg

That video talks about someone doubling the oil in a car. It has no relevance to this conversation at all

Actually, if you listen carefully, he mentions that overfilling by "a quart or two" can blow your seals.

And nobody here is talking about overfilling that much. Again…it has no relevance to this conversation.
We’ve been building and racing these cars for going on 6 years now. We’ve learned a lot about keeping them alive and no matter what irrelevant YouTube video you post…if an ST is going to be driven hard it needs an extra 1/4-1/2 a quart of oil. The 2 logs I posted above are just two of hundreds of identical cases. 1/2 a quart over stops the oil pressure drop on launches. Your opinion won’t change that fact.

Maybe you should send your data logs to Ford then, because apparently their hard use testing didn't catch it.

Engines might start blowing all over the country for low oil pressure.
Many have. Every tuner that touches these things recommends this.
Your opinion is as irrelevant as that stupid video you posted.
And FYI Ford changed the oil pump and fill level for the 25’s. They didn’t do that just for the fun of it. People are still logging pressure drops, just not as bad.

I didn't know Ford made the change for the 25's. Is it still recommended to add the additional 1/4 - 1/2 quart? I have been doing this the last 2 oil changes.

All opinions aside, I believe Ford still recommends 6 quarts on the 25 model year.
