Hi everyone…hoping nobody yells at me for this…seems like a topic with a lot of friction involved. I’m relatively new to the forum and to my 22 ExST. Previous vehicle was a ‘17 Focus ST, so I’m not a stranger to EcoBoost engines. The Focus just didn’t have any oil pressure issues on launch. My ExST is pretty much just a grocery getter with the occasional fun off green lights…nothing crazy. But I thought I saw somewhere in all the threads that even in stock form with normal “spirited driving” there can still be an issue with potential oil starvation under hard acceleration?? Would it be beneficial to use the 6.5qts in my car or overkill?
I pulled 6.44 qts out of my 2025 factory fill with 1k on the odo. I refilled with 6.5 qts. This took the dip stick to between the top hash and the top hole after a 12-15 min wait.

Another interesting test, I think, would be UOA's. If your oil level and driving habits are causing starvation, would you not see an increase in the wear material from the bearing? I just sent in my first analysis, and will be doing several more as the motor gets some miles.
