Focal, Mosconi, Illusion and Helix build

Damn nice microphone setup. As usual, I'm feeling a little inadequate with my one microphone and self tuning  Hoping to find somebody local that can do a final tune after I'm done butchering it.

    Rear end damage

Man it's almost like nobody is allowed to have their opinions. Nobody knows what is really going on and we all have our opinions on why or what if anything to do about it and I'm totally ok with that! I will do what I feel is in my best interest and others will do what they think is their best...

    Dashcam install (heavy pics)

Just to throw some more info out there. I am in the process of moving my Blackvue 900S dual dashcam into My explorer. I also have a dual battery backup so the dashcam runs for 40 hours while the car is off without discharging the car battery. I found there is tons of space under the passenger...

Poll: How many have experienced a "rear axle bolt fracture" (POLL CLOSED 6-4-22)

I agree a lot with what your saying. I am going to be running 500hp and I don't want to take any chances. That's why there is a new cross member that I spend my own $1500 on sitting in my garage waiting for me to have time to install it. If I planned on staying stock I would not have done...

13" sub in factory location and rest of stereo upgrade

Here's what the sub looks like with the box. Sorry for the lighting or lack thereof.

Poll: How many have experienced a "rear axle bolt fracture" (POLL CLOSED 6-4-22)

In my opinion I don't really care if it is only happening to 10 or 12 reportedly. They dropped one of the bolts, there are broken bolts, and I'm simply not willing to take a chance with a tuned power train. They designed it with two bolts for a reason in the first place. I am an engineer and...

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

There a few requested pics in my build thread so as not to clutter this thread. Also search @UNBROKEN as he has many more pics, https://www.explorerst.org/threads/13-sub-in-factory-location-and-rest-of-stereo-upgrade.3540/page-2#post-47360

13" sub in factory location and rest of stereo upgrade

Got the top of the storage box carpeted. Finished sound deadening the whole floor. There is another layer under the dynaliner that you can't see.

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Yes, I removed all seats and the center console. Very simple IMO. I did not take pics, sorry. The carpet is back in with only the driver seat installed. I'll see if I can pull back the carpet to get a pic of the underside.

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

This for the floor Dynamat extreme on 95% coverage. Roller for install Dynaliner 1/4in closed cell foam on top of that. Sticky on one side. DynaPad (1in) on 90% of floor Thinsulate in the console. No adhesive, just sits under carpet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

I've had the back half done for a week. With my ears it is significantly quieter. I have found very little factory deadening material. A little spray on here and there.

UPR Drain Plug or UPR Drain Valve?!?!

    Thanks for that.....just ordered one.

13" sub in factory location and rest of stereo upgrade

Pulled the first and second row seats and the center console to finish sound deadening the floor. Got that done. Also installes a cheap lock on my storage box. Looking for something more secure but I have a cabinet style lock on it now. Tomorrow I'm hoping to get the fat ground wire setup...

    2022 Helm Service Manual Available

No, $200 for a CD. I too prefer paper. My Sierra was a 5 volume set of printed manuals. My last GM truck was a flash drive. I usually print the pages I am interested.

    2022 Helm Service Manual Available

Just letting people know. I have been waiting for it to be available and I just ordered it. I have purchased a Helm manual for every vehicle I have owned. They are expensive but show everything, every torque, every procedure, every code, everything. Invaluable IMO www.helminc.com

Poll: How many have experienced a "rear axle bolt fracture" (POLL CLOSED 6-4-22)

I voted no but I also have a cross member sitting in my garage. I tend to get the most out of my vehicles and I just don't want to chance a failure.

Will Forscan run on this thing?

Have you played around with it yet? I found it to be fairly intuitive. I figured out how to do a backup FIRST THING. Then I just started poking around. In about 30 minutes you should be able to get it connected, do a backup, and find the routine changes people talk about. Here's a file...

    Rear end damage

Ford doesn't care about people. They simply do the math and determine how much their losses will be if things break versus the cost to fix every single one the expensive way. Human life has a value to all companies and I don't have a problem with that. They could make completely safe vehicles...
