Safety Recall 22S27 Rear Axle Bolt Fractures

That has to suck knowing it is there but you can't get it yet!

    Intelligent Access Door Handles

Mine works that way. I walk up to any door, stick my fingers in the handle and it unlocks.

Safety Recall 22S27 Rear Axle Bolt Fractures

Probably because Ford hasn't really decided on the final fix IMO. If I were Ford, I would try to fix it as cheaply as possible. If there was a heat treating mistake in the bolt and a heat treated bolt actually solves the problem then I would expect them to stop. I don't think this issue will...

Car & Driver tests $108k 450 hp/6,100 lb Lincoln Navigator. Results as expected ...

Yes but I think it was more about the price difference 60k vs over 100k but I might be wrong. I’ve had plenty of full sized SUV and while they all went ok, handling was NOTHING like my ST. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Will Forscan run on this thing?

Slow but it should fit the bill for what you want to do.

Will Forscan run on this thing?

I don't think it runs on chrome. Windows, ios, or android.

    2022 Ford Explorer Platinum ST

The gearing change is in the diffs. You could certainly re-gear to match the ST if you wanted to.

    Rear end damage

No doubt. Or used in the other 1 bolt applications. I don't know if that bothers me or not so long as the inspect and repair/repaint as new. Its not like it's a moving part that will wear. With all this going on I was surprised I could source a 2 bolt....that should be here tomorrow.

    Rear end damage

I knew better. I had a pile of parts in my garage a month before I got mine. At my age I know myself well enough that it didn’t bother me[emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I believe somebody that attended confirmed their Explorers had the two bolts. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Rear end damage

Unfortunately, all guesswork until we actually see what they do and if a PCM update I'm sure it won't be long until we get some results. I will avoid having the recall done until I see what others experience. And I am definitely installing the new crossmember even if before we know the results...

    Rear end damage

If it's a PCM change only, my guess is they are tweaking the torque management. Most vehicles have some type to limit abuse. IMO it will definitely involve pulling power under certain conditions. With GM if you pounded the throttle and downshifted, there was always a noticeable lag before...

    Rear end damage

I paid $1400 for my crossmember so 3K doesnn't sound unreasonable for dealer prices for replacement. MSRP is like $2000 for the crossmember.

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Seems 4-5 hours is the going rate. Not looking forward to doing mine. Fortunately I'm waiting on my blacked our emblems so my procrastination is somewhat justified.
