Poll: How many have experienced a "rear axle bolt fracture" (POLL CLOSED 6-4-22)

Ford sells around 200K Explorers a year. I'm not sure 86 is a statistically relevant sample. They certainly wouldn't be offering a recall for one failure.

Safety Recall 22S27 Rear Axle Bolt Fractures

Yes and that is really the crux of the issue with me. They designed the higher HP drivetrain with the two bolt subframe. What was the true reason they switched to one? Did they run out of 2 bolt frames and just say F it put them on so we can keep building? Or did they go through engineering...

Poll: How many have experienced a "rear axle bolt fracture" (POLL CLOSED 6-4-22)

Ahhhhh, no :) But I will offer my lift to anybody local that has a need. Maybe we could have a subframe party and get a few done over a weekend

    2022 Helm Service Manual Available

At least that section appears to be the same. I like free and online too but have had a few occasions where it wasn't available when I really needed it. I actually prefer paper but then again I'm rather old school. The online one also appears to cover 2020-22 whereas the Helm is 2022...

    2022 Helm Service Manual Available

Just received mine today. Comes in a CD. I had to rig up an external cd drive. First bad, the software looks like circa 1995. Second bad, you must have the CD available for the program to run. Working on a method to copy contents to hard drive so it will run without the cd but so far no...

Poll: How many have experienced a "rear axle bolt fracture" (POLL CLOSED 6-4-22)

Just a note, I just received the Helm service manual. With a lift it doesn't look that hard. Time consuming but not difficult.

    Rear end damage

Mine seems to have a mind of it's own. Sometimes it automatically engages the brake when I put it in park. Sometimes when I put it into drive it seems to tug at the ebrake before it releases. Sometimes it doesn't put the ebrake on.

Safety Recall 22S27 Rear Axle Bolt Fractures

Until it is out and we see the result, we are all talking out our a$$es as far as I'm concerned, Once some people get the update I'm sure they will run some dragy times to compare. Too many rocket scientists in the tuning world. They will tell us exactly what they are doing if any detuning...

Focal, Mosconi, Illusion and Helix build

Very Impressive! I've never really had an ear for music. Don't get me wrong, I can tell something that sounds good and something that sounds bad. But I cannot sing on key to save my life and have abused my ears for many years standing next to concert speakers. That and I just have no musical...

Focal, Mosconi, Illusion and Helix build

I don't doubt one bit it will sound amazing! My problem is I don't know if my beat down hearing could ever tell the difference between very good and great. I wis you were closer, I'd love to hear the finished product. Assuming I would say WOW but you never know until you hear it. Maybe I'll...
