What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Finished sound deadening up to the front seats. Started building my storage box for over the amp rack. Decided finally to ditch the third row seats. Will never use them and this way I get a decent sized storage area with a flat loading area up to the front seats.

NEW Product Alert! The AWR Racing rear diff mount

That would be the ultimate comparison IMO. Would make the decision on how to address the one bolt a simple one. Three bolt, four bolt, three bolt with diffy stiffy and the new one. My guess is this new one would show less movement than the diffy stiffy and possible the same as the 4 bolt...

Need help with a measurement in the back with seats down

I have my rear seats removed. I am looking for the measurement with the third row folded down. Measure from center back against the interior trim panel to a line perpendicular to the back edge of the folded down seats. Any takers? Would appreciate it for sure.

13" sub in factory location and rest of stereo upgrade

Finished up the power, fans, and fan controller. Now for rca's and speaker wire. Trying to get all the ancillary stuff done so when I pull the trigger I'm only down a stereo for a short time.

NEW Product Alert! The AWR Racing rear diff mount

$1400 delivered. Supposedly on it's way. Need to source the bolt and there may be an insulator in there. Assuming I can get those from my local dealer without getting too ripped off.

13" sub in factory location and rest of stereo upgrade

I looked into the sub behind the panel. The problem is the the hole in the panel is just way too small. I think that's where I will end up. I am not finding any type of trim pieces that I could use around the panel. Will probably have to visit a friend with a routing table and just make...

NEW Product Alert! The AWR Racing rear diff mount

That's my one fear about both products. They are depending on cover bolts and aluminum structure around them that were not likely designed for the stresses that the bolts on top of the diff were designed for. Again though just makes me question why the heck they dropped one of the bolts for...

13" sub in factory location and rest of stereo upgrade

Yeah, they've been my go to computer fans for a while. I remember the first time I fired one up. I couldn't believe how quiet they were for the airflow.

Why we didn't buy an Explorer ST, and other various thoughts

I would not argue with that. A bit more power, a stouter tranny, and high enough towing fow a decent sized boat but not an exclosed car carrier.

Why we didn't buy an Explorer ST, and other various thoughts

I think Ford nailed it at the price point and I'm a GM guy. Nice sporty looks with really decent stock pickup for a vehicle it's size. If I were still towing a track car around I would not have gotten an Explorer. It does have a cheaper feel in the body like when you close a door. Hoping the...

NEW Product Alert! The AWR Racing rear diff mount

I've got a Diffy Stiffy not installed yet. But I also have a subframe on order. I'd say this one definitely looks beefier than the Fenfab. It also doesn't look like it has slots on the diff plate. I worry the slots in the diffy stiffy could allow movement under duress. If I were choosing...

13" sub in factory location and rest of stereo upgrade

Here's a pic of the trim panel sitting on a pile of junk. Also included a pic with the new amp rack design. Air will be coming in and out the two panels left and right of center. Of course I ran out of ground wire by about 5 inches.
