Does a full exhaust make a difference? You decide.

ZFG 93 tune, Whipple IC and drop in air filter...added SPD downpipes and full 3” exhaust...best 1/4 before was a 12.24 iirc. This was with no adjustment to the tune and launching at 2700 so the 60’ was a bit slower than my best 1.74. We’re fine tuning the 93 tune now but I’m waiting on dry...

    Offset question

Work? Yes Look right? No They would be tucked in way under the fender. 30 is dead flush. 35 is a little less than 1/4” inset.

    Post your Dragy times.

Soft launch doing a datalog for the new exhaust. Left at 2700 instead of the usual 28-2900 so the 60’ was a bit slower than my best but it beat my best 1/4 by over 1/10. We’ll fine tune this 93 daily driver tune this week then it’s on to E50 and deep 11’s.

    1-off exhaust system complete

I tried to get a decent launch but it shook the tires on the 1-2 shift.

I wanted deep and nice...not raspy and loud. I’ll get WOT vid in a bit.

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

I’m happy as hell with it. Gonna need to do some sound treatments in the back...I can hear it when I’m driving. Not drone...just sound from the very back. Treating the liftgate and spare tire well with some CLD and CCF should do the trick.

Exhaust done. Sounds great and I’ll have clips today. Zero drone but I can hear it on the highway...I think maybe that’s just how an SUV is with the tip exit just below the lift gate. I think some sound treatments in the lift gate and spare tire well will knock most of it out.

Finished this gnarly 3” dual exhaust.

    1-off exhaust system complete

Started with SPD downpipes and built the whole thing with 304 stainless 3” mandrel bends, Vibrant resonators and Magnaflow mufflers. Took me and a buddy about 10 hours start to finish.

    Magnaflow exhaust finally previewed!

~$200 more than Borla and it includes midpipes. Less than Corsa and still includes midpipes. They’re all too high but in comparison to the others it’s not out of line for what you get.

    Bumper Plugs

You literally answered your own question. Bumperplugs.com They sell them already painted for like 30 bucks. Now what are they actually selling? 50 cents worth of 1/4” plastic “Christmas tree” plugs you can paint yourself with 8 bucks worth of Dupli Color spray paint.

    More H&R Springs

You’re talking about less than 1/4” difference in the back and adjusting the headlights is a 5 minute job. Your money...but it’s not as big of a difference as you’re thinking.
  17. UNBROKEN

    More H&R Springs

Why the swap? Steedas settle to more drop than advertised and H&R aren’t quite as low as advertised. Side by side you’d be hard pressed to tell the difference.

    More H&R Springs

If the drop makes a vehicle sit level when it was previously higher in the rear, checking the headlight aiming is all a part of it. Lowering the rear more, even a little bit, will naturally move the headlights higher. I checked mine before and after the H&R springs like I do with every vehicle I...

    Magnaflow exhaust finally previewed!

That’s an arguable point. The Borla and Corsa kits that are either oem size or retain the oem mid pipe surely are for sound only. The Magnaflow and Thermal kits that are 2.5” could see a slight gain especially if paired with the SPD downpipes. The SPD DP’s and a full 3” system will definitely...
