Charging with a charger in garage

This is a timely post; I just got the Pass App notification that the OP mentioned above. I'm retired so I don't drive a lot and the vehicle can easily sit for 3+ weeks. I've never owned a car in 51 years of driving that demanded to be driven but I guess none of the previous vehicles had so...

    Fault messages

Another thing to consider is if rodents chewed through some critical wiring under the hood overnight. I've heard of others getting a dashboard lightshow out of the blue when the day before everything was normal only to discover some rat ate a wiring harness. Good luck.

    Parking Brake Fault

    Nope, never happened again.

    Radio operation

You're welcome, the car is a lot of fun in general but has some odd quirks compared to every other vehicle I've ever owned since 1974.

    Radio operation

This issue was just recently discussed after being brought up by another member maybe a week or two ago. It appears on 2025 models the default is for the audio to come on when the vehicle is started no matter what you have selected on shutdown. Someone suggested that it would stay off IF you...

Fold down Captains chairs and make flat dog platform

We haven't had to consider folding the captain's chairs but we are only having to transport one large dog. Our 116# Kangal Shepherd livestock guard dog travels in style with plenty of room in the back of the ST with the third row folded down. I have a WeatherTech cargo mat that covers the...

2026 Ford Explorer Replaces Vista Roof With Fixed Glass Option

Personally, I always thought sunroof/moonroofs were a cool option. Back in the day I couldn't afford top trim levels which offered them but once my income grew I haven't owned a vehicle since 1989 without a glass roof of some sort. A solid glass panel would work for me as I rarely if ever...

    Door closing handle detached

UPDATE: After getting over my shock at the idiotic response from my dealership I just went online and found others who've had the same problem. Then I went to YouTube and watched some dudes take apart the door panel and trim so I could see what the parts looked like. Next, checking a Ford...

SiriusXM issues in 2025 Explorer ST

In my '25 ST Sirius/XM will occasionally go silent in the middle of a song for a second or two and then come back on. At first I thought it was because I drove under an overpass or something else obstructing the antenna but it has also happened out in the open. The other day a song would just...

    Customer satisfaction program - 25B02

Well, I can see why they did. My dealership has been around since 1963 and is the biggest in the area but their service department doesn't seem to know what they're doing. I've only dealt with them three times in 6 months of ownership and they haven't impressed me whatsoever. They have a huge...

    Customer satisfaction program - 25B02

When I went to the dealer for my appointment to perform this CSP to supposedly do a software update I ended up waiting 2 hours. The service advisor told me that my vehicle ended up NOT needing the update after all and sent me on my way. First of all; why does Ford send out letters to owners...

    Power source for dashcam?

I've used the Dongar adapters that run off the mirror power and they are easy to install and work well. The downside is they only provide power when the vehicle is running so if you need fulltime juice they aren't your answer.

    Car Covers

I live out in a rural area and have to drive on a dirt road 2.3 miles from the end of the asphalt to my ranch gate, so my car is always dusty or muddy. We have a garage but my wife has it full of stuff so our vehicles sit outdoors. I've used Seal Skin covers for several years now to help...

    Door closing handle detached

I was at the dealership today so they could take their 3rd shot at getting the tint correct and bubble free on the front driver & passenger windows (which is another story). While there I stopped in the service department and showed this to one of their service managers. He told me that I'd...

    Door closing handle detached

I pushed it back down but it doesn't seem to want to "snap" and it just comes right back up. Thanks for the suggestion though.

    Door closing handle detached

Yesterday I went to close the door on my 2025 ST and the grab handle built into the arm rest pulled out from the rest. I have an appointment at my dealer tomorrow morning for something else and will see what it will take for them to fix this. It would be very easy to snap the plastic off so...

    Trouble with phone calls

I experienced this same problem yesterday. I don't make or receive many phone calls and as I'm retired I don't drive a lot either. I got a call and was able to answer it successfully using the steering wheel controls and could hear the caller just fine over the ST's audio system but they could...

    Parking Brake Fault

Thanks Loaded05 and Jeppo, I'll have to see if it comes back.

    Infotainment Screen slow to boot

I've noticed mine take a minute to boot up a time or two but it's not consistent or frequent.

    Parking Brake Fault

Good question Kansas, I don't know. I'll have to look next time I start up and see if the brake indicator is illuminated on the instrument cluster. If it is I guess it automatically disengages when you put it in reverse or drive.
