Honestly I prefer that. Would be a plus for me.

I'd prefer a solid metal roof, instead of one with a hole and piece of glass.

Honestly, given the amount of sunroof leaks and/or wind noise complaints, it's probably a good decision. I'd bet they were getting a ton of (extended) warranty claims on sunroof leak issues and someone ran it up the flagpole to see if they could make this change. I actually think it's a good decision, albeit slightly disappointing.

Personally, i love the sunroof feature. I'm not sure if i would go for a glass panel now vs a solid roof if i were to upgrade in a few years.

Personally, I always thought sunroof/moonroofs were a cool option. Back in the day I couldn't afford top trim levels which offered them but once my income grew I haven't owned a vehicle since 1989 without a glass roof of some sort. A solid glass panel would work for me as I rarely if ever actually open up the sunroof but I do like having the additional light in the cave-like all black interior. To each their own.
