I am wondering if anyone else is having this problem. When I initiate a phone call, I have no problems. But if I receive a phone call, the other party cannot hear me. The Ford people tell me it's a setting on my phone, and phone people tell me it's the car. I previously owned a 2013 Explorer with SYNC and had no problem. This is continuing with two different phones, which tells me it should be a setting in the car, but I can't find anything that makes a difference.

Trouble with phone calls

I experienced this same problem yesterday. I don't make or receive many phone calls and as I'm retired I don't drive a lot either. I got a call and was able to answer it successfully using the steering wheel controls and could hear the caller just fine over the ST's audio system but they could not hear me. I pulled over and tried calling them back with the same result. Then on a whim I connected Android Auto and when they called me back and I picked up they could hear me just fine. Searching online others having this issue say you have to disable Alexa and use the Google assistant and that fixes it and others say that you have to go to phone settings in the vehicle and select 'phone ringtone' and that remedies it. I haven't tried either yet but FWITW if you're still having trouble.
