    Towing

Mine won’t shift if I’m not in the drivers seat[emoji23]. Notice it when I grab my mail. Takes a second or two after I sit back down before it lets me move the selector. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Requesting opinions regarding "service/maintenance" relationship

Just to add, I don’t think Ford allows non-Ford dealerships to do warranty work. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    SuperForged Big Brake Kit Review

So I’ve been doing some good highway thrashing the past month. Washed up yesterday and I noticed an interesting color change. My Superforged hats have turned gold[emoji23]. Similar happened to my CTSV Brembo Calipers. They went from silver to gold after my first road race day. Guessing I got the...

    Waiting for tuuuune

Usually one, sometimes two. I’m about to do some logs after I put the DPs on to see if he needs to tweak it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    2025 Towing Capacity

That’s a little heavy tongue weight imo. If you could shuffle some things to the back of the trailer you might be able to get it under 500. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Rear Swaybar upgrade options.

Steeda in the outer. Loved the improvement immediately. No rust issue on the bar but their rear springs don’t look so good after 24 months. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Chicago land speed shop?

Can’t help but don’t go to Roesch Ford. They couldn’t even align my ST after I put lowering spring in[emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Spring Compressor

Usually will pop off with an impact. That or spray it with penetrant overnight. Don’t know if the ST has a hex in the top or an indent on the strut tube. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Sync

Best bet is to download from Ford and put on USB flash drive. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Mercon ULV ATF vs Amsoil SS Transmission Fluid

I changed the filter the first drain and fill at 20k. 25-30k for the next one. Double drain and fill with some driving in between. Probably won’t change the filter again until 100k. I have a PPE pan with a drain. Iirc I get about 6 qts out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Oil life meter

My sister bought a used Saturn many moons ago. Asked me if it was ok that the engine was replaced at 24k miles. I called the dealership and asked why. They said the woman that bought it never did an oil change and the motor seized[emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Oil life meter

Never understood the argument. It’s your car, do whatever you feel like. I don’t agree with 3,000 miles and I have done oil analysis at 5k. Oil was still good for a while but why push it. If changing it at 3k or 10k makes you feel better, go for it. It’s your vehicle. Sent from my iPhone...

What Down pipes should i order?

Drivers side easy, passenger side sucks. Took me less than an hour on drivers and several hours on the passenger. Needed to get the heat shield off so I could get to the second nut. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Transmission flush?

I would do a double drain and refill instead. I never liked the flush machines. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Oil life meter

Good synopsis. You certainly can go longer without risk but not with oil analysis. When I was in the diesel world I ran 10k oil changes but that was with oil analysis and a dual remote filter. Got 400k out of those trucks before getting rid of them. Completely agree on the 5k full synthetic...

Ford's Plan for Fixing Quality - CEO Reponds

I believe dealers DO get paid to fix anything found in delivery. Now their warranty rate is lower than their shop rate so they do make less on warranty work. Still, no excuse to not check IMO. At my old business, we ran into a quality problem with one of our computerized tool manufacturers. I...

What Brake upgrades are available for stock wheel size?

I would agree with this 95% of the time. There are however some instances where a pad change can improve performance to some degree. I had full sized GM suvs for about twelve years. Brakes were underwhelming but I didn’t want a big brake kit as I was on business 3 year leases. I ran an upgraded...

Ford's Plan for Fixing Quality - CEO Reponds

Can’t argue with that although I kind of hit the lottery as far as defects go. I remember decades ago buying new cars was a big deal for most dealers. Great vehicle prep and they went to great lengths to make the delivery pleasant. Now a days, few brands and dealers follow that path. I don’t...
