25 ST Powertrain Malfunction / Reduced Power

Ford must be using those $9/hr software developers that Boeing is using on their new 737's.

Its modern cars are just big pieces of spyware to compliment our mobile spyware devices!

    1.5 Year ST Owner Update

Good luck. I know tuning scares the shit out of me but I bought the car to enjoy it the way I want to and there is always going to be risk involved. That being said they would have to prove the tune is the cause of the problem. With the TSB and "known issue" on your side, you have a weapon in...

    FenFab V2 Intake Fluttering sound

I heard like 4 little warbling whistles is that it? Does sound like turbo flutter/compressor surging. Are you running a BOV?

    Front end clunk/rattle

Force them to inspect the struts and top mounts if you can.

    1.5 Year ST Owner Update

Metal shards in the RDU and its on its 2nd already? That's concerning. Its almost like Ford should put "replace RDU" every 20K miles. Are you launching a lot? As for the transmission issues you may want to take a look at this since you are running a 2020...

25 ST Powertrain Malfunction / Reduced Power

So you are saying the codes are transmitted to Ford? It would be really easy for them to do with it being a IOT connected vehicle. That would also mean they know who tuned their ST's or even made changes with Forscan before you even take it to the dealer.

    JXB bushing insert

Oh yea? Anything I should look out for. Here I am trying to do the right thing to keep the ST healthy. It looked to me that it was well designed for the intended purpose. I tried returning the pinion bushings but Steeda won't take them back even new in box because I'm over their 30 day period...

2025 Ford Explorer ST Front End Popping Noises at Low Speeds

Just had my front struts and mounts replaced. I posted in another similar thread about it. 24' under 2K miles. Warranty repaired, dealer noted "excessive wear".

25 ST Powertrain Malfunction / Reduced Power

Have a code reader to see what stored code is sitting there? If you don't it seems Ford should have included one as standard equipment for us ST owners lol.

    Front end clunk/rattle

Tell them to use chassis ears, my dealer noted that is what they used. Its a remote setup where they place microphones at strategic locations and can listen on earphones in the vehicle while driving. Plus its kinda freaking obvious the clunking sound like marbles banging around. That being...

    JXB bushing insert

I have steeda pinon bushing still new in a box , haven't installed them yet. I'll be calling steeda to see if I can return them for a refund. I do run their RDU brace already and also have subframe bushings ready to install, haven't seen any bad stuff related to those things yet.

What a joke, do better Ford!

    Front end clunk/rattle

Something is obviously messed up for struts and mounts to be failing for me only after a few thousand miles. And even for others with under 100k miles and only a few years old. Maybe it was a batch of covid struts still in circulation lol.

FenFAB oil pan initial test results.

Got mine a bit ago still sitting in the box, can't wait to get it installed. Going to have a shop do it along with my BBK once that comes in.

My 2020 ST started knocking 2 days ago on morning cold start.

Glad you got it back. Still wish they were more forthcoming with what exactly happened to the original.

HP Tuners RTD app (TDN) closing itself

Heh had the same experience recently and figured out the above steps on my own before going looking for fixes. Was a PITA but at least the fix is now posted here.

    Additional Tune

Do you know for a fact that they will just tweak the existing 91 tune? I'm betting they have to start all over again with baseline, tank full of 93, and do all the data logging pulls and file transfers back and forth. That is why he will have a 91 and a 93 tune that he can flash back and forth...

CVFAB downpipe w/ thermal 3 in install

I have the cvf downpipes and thermal 3" exhaust and absolutely love the combo. I had a shop install it and they didn't mention needing to cut anything. The downpipes are designed to fit the stock exhaust, and the thermal system is designed to fit the stock downpipes. It should all work.

    Tuning

I did DP's and exhaust. I had the same logic as you plus the sound and looks make me happy. Aesthetics are a thing. Plus with all the other mods/tune and hey an extra 25HP adds up. I'd like to think the DP's also help with turbo spool up, then again not like stock it was a big deal.
