    Front end clunk/rattle

Just got the ST back from the dealer. Great service from Mark Ficken Ford in Charlotte. Dropped it off Friday AM, picked it up Monday afternoon all fixed. It was indeed the front struts similar to the MY23 TSB posted earlier in this thread. I'm betting Ford has a stash of "potentially bad"...

    BeyondEOD's ST Build Thread

I already have the Steeda diff brace installed currently, no issues. I have sitting in boxes Steeda subframe inserts, steeda diff pinion bushings, JXB insert, and whoosh bolt. Once I get the BBK in I'm going to have it all done at the same time by a performance shop. Reading about your RDU...

    Front end clunk/rattle

Dealership just reached out. They stated that both front struts and possible strut mounts will need to be replaced. They say the parts should arrive tomorrow. Pretty shocked that they'd have them that quick, we'll see!

    Rear End Failure

I'd still like to understand the reason for so many RDU failures in the first place. Is it poorly designed, poor QA, shitty materials, installed improperly, undersized mounting system causing excessive movement, undersized in general for the power it is handling? All of the above?

    Rear End Failure

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. I'm sure your update will help many out there until Ford can get it's head out of its ass.

    Front end clunk/rattle

My ST is at the dealer now for this low speed front end clunking. Under 2000 miles :( . They said the tech "foreman" personally took it for a test drive and heard the noise. They are supposed to get back to me Monday with what the issue is and the resolution. Since I haven't touched anything...

Did you get yours diagnosed and fixed?

    Front end clunk/rattle

Welp add my 24' with 1800 miles to the list of wierd rattle clunking noise seemingly coming from the front. Starts at low speed , even when the road is not bumpy. I try braking, accelerating, putting in neutral and idling, etc. seems to be there no matter what. The ST handles great and no...

What power level does traction become an issue?

That will be one fun as hell ST! Keeping a tranny as a cold standby sounds like a bit much. Perhaps think about locating a reputable transmission shop in your area with 10R60/80 experience and purchase to keep on hand a performance rebuild kit like one from Suncoast ready to go? This way you...

What power level does traction become an issue?

I drive similar, I'm not doing trans break launches but also don't baby her when the road conditions allow. My plan is what others mentioned, if she starts to slip, that's when I will go for the "built" rebuild. Otherwise I plan on moving to the PPE aluminum transmission pan when I do the first...

What power level does traction become an issue?

Awesome can't wait to read about your build. That being said going all in like that wouldn't it be prudent to look into engine internals upgrades as well (forged pistons, connecting rods, etc)? Also don't forget supporting stuff especially the fenfab oil pan to ensure engine blood pressure stays...

    Fuel octane?

Yep, running less than quality "top tier" whatever from the big names and highest available octane in your area is doing dis-justice to the ST. It's a must if tuned to run what your tune specifies as well of course. I threw a few bottles of octane boost/improver in the back just in case I'm...

    ST Freakin' Out?

Have you tried disconnecting the battery for something like 30 minutes and re-connecting? Basically a cold-boot.

My 2020 ST started knocking 2 days ago on morning cold start.

Try sourcing a replacement engine from ford just to check if it’s an availability issue or your dealer being lazy.

Considering 2025 ST but concerned with reliability

Would be the first time anyone has tried to tell me that repair costs on a BMW are comparable to a Ford. That being said I can understand that domestic vehicles are catching up to the "hostile to repair" category that luxury german cars have been in for while now which drives up labor costs...

Considering 2025 ST but concerned with reliability

I thought of all the options around BMW and how stupid easy it is to get monster power , plus out of the box handling is all already there. Powertrains are usually super beefy stock already if you pick the right model/engine combos as well to handle extra gobs of power unlike the ST. With all...

    SuperForged Big Brake Kit Review

Yea it hurts. I went down the path trying to source the parts to put together a GT350/500 upgrade. I'm just bad at finding stuff I guess, so a lot of it is assurance/support/convenience of a purpose designed kit and all new parts. I've kept my last few cars for 10 years+ and plan on that with...

    SuperForged Big Brake Kit Review

Spoke with Bruce over at Superforged. Asked about only doing fronts for "fun" street driving on empty backroads and whether it will be a problem with the rear being stock. He said not at all, he offers the whole kit that sure will be better but the fronts alone he said I would be very pleased...
