    SSC Tuatara 331MPH...

Anyone else interested in this kinda stuff? Been following the top speed records and rivalries for a while now, going back to the F40 and McLaren F1, and recently between Koenigsegg, Bugatti, and SSC. I even tried my hand in it on a 625rwhp turbo Suzuki Hayabusa that my buddy and I built, but...

Worlds quickest and fastest Explorer ST hits the dyno!

While I agree with you 100% that getting real world data is crucial, you said earlier that dyno numbers were "useless", which is just incorrect. I have been racing and wrenching since 1981, and actually did pretty well building and racing sportbikes in the mid-2000's, on road courses (I have...

Worlds quickest and fastest Explorer ST hits the dyno!

Dyno runs are extremely important in racing, anyone who says otherwise hasn't built many race vehicles. While the peak number isn't important, the numbers under the curve are key to being quick/fast. That is where dyno runs come into play. I would rather an 800whp vehicle that makes power from...

    Tuning for dummies

    1. No, it won't void it by default, but good luck getting something engine/trans related covered once they see the key cycles. 2. The smart thing to do would be to revert it, but if the dealership checks the ECU, they can still tell it has been modified. 3. Most of these vehicles are still...

    That is great to hear!

What was your reaction the first time behind the wheel of a Explorer ST?

I was happy for sure, not with the acceleration necessarily, coming from fully built race bikes, but the truck is nice nonetheless.

Builds are now in Trackhawk territory

How is the truck holding up under all the abuse and added power levels? Any trans/clutch issues?

Any vendors out there offering package deals on performance stuff? For example, downpipes, exhaust, intercooler, and tune?

Tune Only 1/4 Mile and 0-60 Record

It isn't the HP I am really concerned with, it is the torque and the transmission/clutches. I am curious how long they will last with 500AWHP for example.

Tune Only 1/4 Mile and 0-60 Record

Curious to see how long these motors/trans last with some added power to them.
