    Engine Oil Level Low Disabled?

Same here, replaced my engine at 32k miles when it was bone dry of oil with no warning and was between oil changes. (I think the last oil change I got was a short-fill.) I was absolutely stunned when different techs and obnoxious people on here told me that in 2020 I still had to open the hood...

Anyone get a rattle in their sunroof?

those panels under the car are so poorly fastened...it's crazy how much noise they make. I ultimately just wedged some stuff between them and the car to dampen in. so lame.

Rear Differential Replacement at 51K Miles

Mine was making a whining noise when I was driving and I couldn't place it. Turned out to be the rear diff., which they're replacing now. I'm at about 48k miles....and my engine blew out at 32k miles and I've had a littany of other small issues, all under warranty, but wow. I joke with my...

Anyone get a rattle in their sunroof?

yes...but only sometimes. Also, in heavy rain, I hear a gurgling sound like water wants to drain, but wind keeps it from doing so?? SUPER annoying!

Thermal 2.5 or awe 3" exhaust....

what's the upside to the downpipes? I just put the Thermal 2.5 on mine and really like it! thanks!

Engine replaced at less than 20k miles

I had to replace my engine at 34k miles. It was for a different reason, but Ford owned it and replaced it under warranty. a 90-day nightmare, but I was ultimately taken care of. more details on this site if you're interested.

    New 2020 Explorer

Interesting, thanks for the clarification. Odd that a system like that would learn in a way that makes the driving experience worse over time.

I know there's an autostart delete harness you can get. I haven't done it, but see them here. Sounds like your last owner touched a bunch of little things like that. nice surprises (I hope!)

    New 2020 Explorer

My 2020 with 40k miles shifted really poorly, especially at slow speeds. Apparently the car 'learns' your driving style. I bought it with 5k miles, so perhaps that driver and I messed it up! I had the PCM reflashed at my last service appointment (free) as per advice on this post. It shifts...

Here's the link to the F-150 sound clip he was talking about:

I haven't heard of those before but just went to the website. They had a 3.5 EcoBoost sample (F150, single exhaust) but no ST. Could you post a sound clip if you get the chance? Also, I've never done anything with exhaust, I assume these are welded in vs. the bolt together kits I've seen?

    Transmission Throttle Blip

thanks for this! Can't wait to try it. I did want to get the FP tune, so should I get that first, then the PCM flash, or get the PCM, then the FP Tune? OR...does the FP tune wipe out whatever the PCM flash does?? While I'd love more fun performance, I want the dead pedal fixed more than...

    Transmission Throttle Blip

I absolutely hate this aspect of driving my '20 ST....the dead pedal in slow/residential areas. then it will lurch forward when it realizes "yes, I still want to keep driving..." [sigh]. How can I reset the transmission's learning/algorithm? I was going to get the FP tune, will that flash...

    Water Leak Inside

I've got a '20 with 36k on it. Thanks for these other posts. Not sure which of the above issues I have, but wanted to post photos of where water has been leaking in over the top right of the rear. Car has smelled musty lately and I had a tech look at this last visit ('couldn't find...

    Ford Performance Exhaust

Always appreciate your comments on here!! Will this sound like the Borla 2.5" setup they sell? Is there ANY reason I should buy the Ford one vs. one directly from them? Thanks!

    Stupid question

The Ford maps don't have real time traffic info, so using Android Auto for Waze or Google Maps is definitely a benefit, but I agree the top half of the screen is limiting. (new version of Android Auto does a better job letting you see multiple apps running though.) Also, you can still listen...

    Stupid question

FWIW, I bought the entry level Magic Box for Android Auto (they make one for Carplay too). It works great to make Android Auto wireless when get into the car. Sometimes it takes a second for the phone to connect to it, but once I got it installed, it works great and is a nice plug and play...

Front end screeching/grinding noise - WTH is this?

Hey there - I actually went into my service history to find what it was and they only lazily typed in "warranty services performed" ...not super helpful! I remember the technician had a tough time identifying and isolating the noise, but when they did, it wasn't anything major. I think it was...

loud engine rattle (valve/cam sound) sudden low oil pressure

That's not my experience, but it's what one of the service managers told me when I was trying to understand why my engine completely destroyed itself. She was insinuating that they do burn oil...to the point that they destroy themselves with zero warning. Even the app/board computer said there...

loud engine rattle (valve/cam sound) sudden low oil pressure

I'm really sorry to hear that's what happened. Ultimately, I got a new engine put in, under warranty and supported by a dealer in WV close to where I broke down while on a trip. Between their backlog and waiting on parts, it took about 3mos. They challenged me that it was my fault at first...
