High Mileage Explorer STs check in!

I bought this car for a commuter and road trips…it’s done a lot of both. Doing another TX to CA then Route 66 trip in June. She’ll break 150 this year or die trying. If she dies she’s earned a break.

Running ZFG , GOOSTUNE OR LIVERNOIS Tune in Mexico with bad quality fuel (91 octanes)

I’m doing a road trip in June that will take me through all those states. I’m leaving my 93 tune in and taking a case of Boostane. lol

Running ZFG , GOOSTUNE OR LIVERNOIS Tune in Mexico with bad quality fuel (91 octanes)

I have 134K miles on ZFG race tunes…91, 93 and E50. The car drives flawlessly. Rolled 139K this morning.

    UNBROKEN’s Iconic Silver ST build

I still think the gains would be minimal. There’s some pretty hard-core reflection issues to deal with on the sail panels. I’ve been fighting them for years and should give up and move them, but I like the way they look there.

PSA for those with Aftermarket Exhaust

Not really. Most cars have a slight rake so the inlet side is generally the low side. You want the hole on the low side.

Sync 4 with screen upgrade 22 ST

The best mount is from Dariusz Kedzior on Facebook. Other than that it depends on which screen you have now. If you have the 8 inch you don’t really need much else. If you have the 10 inch then it looks a lot better with the 8 inch tray underneath. There are various 3-D printed bottom trim...

Sync 4 with screen upgrade 22 ST

Yes people have and it looks absolutely comical. The screen is WAY too big for the dash. The Aviator screen swap is just about perfect if you’re looking for a larger, horizontal screen.

Unless you have a DSP to dial them in I’d leave them where they are.

    UNBROKEN’s Iconic Silver ST build

This weekend was the 12th annual Aggieland money round sound quality competition. For the 2nd time I barely missed the top 10…I got 11th by 2 points on a 0-1200 point scale so it was stupid close. The top 18 cars are either current or former national championship winners or winners/top 10...

Is there a difference between 20/21 inch rims/speedo

You don’t understand how this works apparently. Moving the wheel further from the hub with spacers cannot and will not affect the speedo. Period. It’s not even negotiable. I don’t care what your radar detector tells you. I sir, am right.

Is there a difference between 20/21 inch rims/speedo

The only way to change the speedometer is to put a smaller or larger diameter tire on the car. Pushing the wheel out further changes nothing related to the speedometer. That is a fact.

    Battery while tuning

I’ve flashed thousands of tune files across who knows how many vehicles…never once have I or anyone I know used a charger.

Is there a difference between 20/21 inch rims/speedo

Spacers will not affect the speedo in any way. Just to clarify.

Is there a difference between 20/21 inch rims/speedo

Tire OD is what effect the speedo, not wheel OD. You can swap to the oem 21’s with zero issues.

    1.25" wheel spacer, stud trimming

I’d bet money no tech on the planet is pulling a hub when one whack with a ball peen will shoot them out the back. Been doing it like that for decades.

    1.25" wheel spacer, stud trimming

30mm is just the thinnest available spacer that doesn’t require trimming studs. That’s only 1.75mm thinner than a 1.25” spacer but when you’re already pushing the wheel past the fender, every mm counts.
