Yeah I bought it off rockauto. Think one of the UPRs would fix this issue for me?

OK now I'm annoyed. Did an oil change and replaced the drain plug with a new one, made sure to oil the o-ring, and it's leaking again! This time seemingly even more. What would be the cause of this?

Well I'd recommend every oil change since mine is leaking in between changes!

Hmmmm now that's a great question. It was about October that I changed the oil so I cannot remember at this point by I'm doubting that I did that. We just got a big snowstorm so I haven't checked the oil level but doesn't look like a massive leak at this point.

Yeah definitely leaking from the drain plug itself and not on the pan. I did check some of the pictures posted from other members and it's not leaking like how theirs are with the actuator.

Anyone else experience their oil drain plug start leaking? I did replace it with a new one when I change the oil 3 months ago. Is this a common thing with these plastic drain plugs? This is my first experience with this type of design. Does anyone use one of the UPR drain plugs instead?

I had the same exact issue and solution to water in my passenger floor. Seems like a common problem, especially since it can be hard to tell if the cowl is fully snapped into place unless you hear/feel it happen.

Report back when you receive it! I'm curious how the install is and also how it sounds.

Yeah I swear I saw people referencing the v2 in other threads when discussing why they went with the original, but I can't find anyone with firsthand experience with the v2.

Anyone here have the Fenfab v2 intake? Thoughts and impressions if you do? I'm also curious what's different about it to be significantly cheaper than their original kit?

Update: Thermal got back to me saying this is normal surface rust and will clean off with soap and water... ...but it didn't. I'm going to keep pushing on this as the tips of an almost $1700 exhaust should not start rusting in under 2 months.

Check where the engine cowl is supposed to snap into the base of the windshield. I bet that was taken apart when your windshield was replaced and wasn't snapped back into place as you really need to push on it. That's where many of us, myself included, have had water leak into the front...

Mine does the same as well, though only noticed it when I put my Thermal on. I assume it's always done that and the stock exhaust hides it. Goes away in less than a minute.
