    Pure700 Turbo Install!

PlatinumST decided to move onto another platform. So he never modified his trans. Look up his build thread for more info.

Fly wheel upgraded and car is struggling to start

It is very unlikely you can figure this out. Here is a link to diagnosis of the starter module. If you notice, unless you're a top-level tech, or it leaves you a DTC, you're going to need professional help. Sorry...

    New ST Owner

Yep, that is the four bolt. See the two bolts in the subframe horizontal to the diff with rubber bushings. The three bolt diffs only have the one on the left side of the picture.

Congrats! You won the subframe lottery!

    Not voodoo- just good engineering.

    Which set of Downpipes?

You seem to be very defensive about my observations. Nor do you address anything about HP/torque numbers that I bring up. Sorry you feel forum members asking intelligent questions has "f**ked up ...Sunday" for you. Perhaps you think this forum shouldn't question anything you have to say...

    Which set of Downpipes?

I have two dyno results from completely stock STs: Both on 93. One is 324HP/374 torque. The other is 332HP/378 torque. Easily found by searching this site. I think you'd have to admit by your posted numbers though that you're 40+ lb/ft torque and 23+ more HP than the best of those. And even...

    Which set of Downpipes?

@SR56 This was the before & after: 355 HP / 416 TQ 376 HP / 420 TQ From your post, that first number is completely stock. The second number is after downpipes and intercooler. I'm not saying you lied about it. Take the personal stuff out of it, and try to understand my skepticism. You're...

    Which set of Downpipes?

Do you have dyno results to share? I'm not trying to be a jerk, but it doesn't make a lot of sense that someone with no tune- and just an intercooler and newly minted downpipes paid a couple hundred dollars for a dyno- unless they were sponsored by a vendor. If I'm wrong, I'll be more than...

    Which set of Downpipes?

Like I posted, I'm sure there are gains to be had. I'm just trying to let those who don't have your expertise know that if you're taking about stock, or near stock- they aren' worth the money. I also want to warn those who aren't knowledgeable that under the "clean hands" doctrine, if you...

    Which set of Downpipes?

I think I'd spend the money on the intercooler. If I were just going for handling, and not for lowering, I'd go for the PIU shocks and swaybars.

    Which set of Downpipes?

I suppose I'm going to get a bunch of blowback on this, but when @Blown F-150 posts "going to depend on the tune", he means exactly that. One thing that I've learned on this forum is that not everyone understands how various components work together. A pair of downpipes bolted on a stock ST is...

    Intercooler Lag ?

A larger intercooler does have a greater volume. At least one of them advertised around 2.5 times more volume than the stocker. So of course it will take slightly longer to pressurize under boost if there isn't pressure there already. Very hard to say what the "lag" would be.

    Forscan Auto Start/Stop turn off?

That seems like a good hack- I saw the posts from @jwuonog where he did this and followed the liink. After nearly three years of seeing people try different things in Forescan, it's great that someone figured it out. It makes perfect sense that the need for the power steering pump (driven by...

    So I just de-tuned

There have been several threads here relating to the same behavior. I've stated in other posts and even shown information from the service manual that this transmission can "de-clutch" under various scenarios including torque, wheel spin, etc, This isn't a 30 year old transmission. It...

    Forscan Auto Start/Stop turn off?

I had completely forgotten about the AC circuit when I posted earlier. It does indeed affect when the ASS functions. Heat is probably far less of a problem than AC which requires the engine to be running.

"Space GhoST"- single turbo ST build

Here is the latest update which is post #5. This shows a compressor map for the best matching turbo for the ST engne in the Garrett line-up, the G40/G30-900. Feel free to ask any questions.

"Space GhoST"- single turbo ST build

Probably something educational in another medium. I appreciate the innovators, the relentlessly curious, those who do things for the intrinsic satisfaction of accomplishing something different. There are only about 2-3 people on this site who demonstrate those qualities....and a new genius...

"Space GhoST"- single turbo ST build

I sold my welder, oxy torches, compressor, bead blaster, my four car garage with loft, etc a few years ago when I downsized to move to TN to be near kids and grandkids. I was never a great welder anyway! At this point, this is a virtual "build", since my plans for this platform no longer make...

    Ford Performance Tune

There are other threads that address this as you post. Battery life, oil life, and coolant temperature, sport mode- all impact the ASS system.
