    Chrome on window switches

I guess I was lucky with mine. Built 11/1/19 and almost 30,000 miles never had any switches peel. The driver's seat clicking and creaking is annoying as hell since the first 3,000 miles but I have not had it checked or fixed by the dealer yet.

    Chrome on window switches

Mine is also almost 3 years old but I rarely open the windows. Literally just open the window in the drive thru or at the parking lot gate. I bet those who have peeling switches are using the switches several times a day whereas I use it less than once a day. Not making excuses for the cheaply...

Back panel that covers storage area

That panel area has a few nice hidden tricks. It can be stored on the lower level to make the area deeper, used as a carpeted lid for hidden compartment or rubber matt side. Also the side panels can be reversed as well or stored vertically to make storage pockets on either side.

    Interior lighting

That's interesting! Did they bring it back in 2022? I know in 2021 many complained that it was removed.

Spare tire area FULL of water after hard rain.

I remember reading about this the first year I bought mine during 2020. I periodically check my spare tire area and so far in almost 3 years of ownership, I have had no water leaks. Here are links I found on the 2 forums and the 3 past discussions: (722) Keep your eye in the spare tire...

    Auto Stop/Start in Sport Mode?

No the default in sport mode is ASS off. You can manually turn ASS on just like you can turn it off in other drive modes where ASS on is the default. This is normal according to the owner manual. Also the button allows you to go back and forth between ASS off and on as you wish. The next time...

    Rear end damage

Sorry I meant I wish it automatically ENGAGED. Mine does auto disengage.

    Rear end damage

I have used my ebrake since day one of ownership almost 3 years ago and it NEVER lunges or has problems engaging or disengaging the e-brake when parked. People really need to calm down about this e-brake thing. I wish mine automatically disengaged so I wouldn't have to remember to do it every...

POLL: OEM 20" or 21" Wheels

I fell in love as soon as I saw mine with the 21 inch black wheels and red calipers. Most of my friends who are not even into cars compliment my wheels and brakes. One even said no other trim of the Explorer looks as good as the ST with the street pack.

    ST vs. The Competition

Explorer has much cheaper parts cost and the insurance cost is really low too. I pay about $700 per year for my ST. I went from a 7 year old Lincoln MKZ with 80K miles to a brand new ST and the cost was almost the same!

    Thoughts on seat back organizers?

    Man that's ugly.

Steering off Center!?! Multiple Wheel Alignments CAN'T Correct!

I use the lane-centering and lane-keeping at all times so I've grown oblivious to it most of the time. Mine often in intelligent cruise and lane-centering will favor the left side of the lane more than the center but most of the time I don't even notice anymore. This is one of many little flaws...

WARNING recall 22S27 is more than what they are telling us

People need to read the manual maybe just once to get the most of their fully equipped vehicle! There are features you don't even know you have unless you look. I absolutely LOVE auto-hold and this is my first vehicle with that. Most everything else I've had on my last couple Lincolns.

WARNING recall 22S27 is more than what they are telling us

Your parking brake should still auto release like before the recall.

    Interior creaks and rattles

Good news for me is this is the third summer with the ST and the door and dash creaking is almost completely gone on its own.

Can’t change Speedometer in Cluster from kmph to mph

You have to go into display setup which is below settings in menus and uncheck km/h. If you scroll up and down there are several menu items besides settings which is only the oil life.

I found the plastic fuel funnel... but

It's for if you run out of gas and need to use a gas can or if you want to add gas treatment in a bottle. The pump nozzle doesn't need the plastic funnel. I guess you've never owned a Ford with EasyFuel capless fuel tank. This is my third Ford with it.

Pirelli Mileage and stock brake pads

I'm at almost 29,000 miles and both the tires and brake pads have plenty of life left.

    10000 mile mark?

Theres a limit to how long the trip odo goes on the Explorer. Mine reset several times on its own since I bought it 28,500 miles ago. Oddly it resets the mileage but not the time or MPG automatically. There are so many weird electronic glitches. Mine also shows oil life from 100% to 97% then...

Reverse lights don’t always come on in reverse

For me recent software updates fixed the audio and all Sync issues. The camera on mine had to be replaced. The software update in the recall did not work in the long-term.
