Got the top of the storage box carpeted. Finished sound deadening the whole floor. There is another layer under the dynaliner that you can't see.

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Yes, I removed all seats and the center console. Very simple IMO. I did not take pics, sorry. The carpet is back in with only the driver seat installed. I'll see if I can pull back the carpet to get a pic of the underside.

This for the floor Dynamat extreme on 95% coverage. Roller for install Dynaliner 1/4in closed cell foam on top of that. Sticky on one side. DynaPad (1in) on 90% of floor Thinsulate in the console. No adhesive, just sits under carpet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

I've had the back half done for a week. With my ears it is significantly quieter. I have found very little factory deadening material. A little spray on here and there.

13" sub in factory location and rest of stereo upgrade

Pulled the first and second row seats and the center console to finish sound deadening the floor. Got that done. Also installes a cheap lock on my storage box. Looking for something more secure but I have a cabinet style lock on it now. Tomorrow I'm hoping to get the fat ground wire setup...

    2022 Helm Service Manual Available

No, $200 for a CD. I too prefer paper. My Sierra was a 5 volume set of printed manuals. My last GM truck was a flash drive. I usually print the pages I am interested.

    2022 Helm Service Manual Available

Just letting people know. I have been waiting for it to be available and I just ordered it. I have purchased a Helm manual for every vehicle I have owned. They are expensive but show everything, every torque, every procedure, every code, everything. Invaluable IMO www.helminc.com

Poll: How many have experienced a "rear axle bolt fracture" (POLL CLOSED 6-4-22)

I voted no but I also have a cross member sitting in my garage. I tend to get the most out of my vehicles and I just don't want to chance a failure.

Will Forscan run on this thing?

Have you played around with it yet? I found it to be fairly intuitive. I figured out how to do a backup FIRST THING. Then I just started poking around. In about 30 minutes you should be able to get it connected, do a backup, and find the routine changes people talk about. Here's a file...

    Rear end damage

Ford doesn't care about people. They simply do the math and determine how much their losses will be if things break versus the cost to fix every single one the expensive way. Human life has a value to all companies and I don't have a problem with that. They could make completely safe vehicles...

Safety Recall 22S27 Rear Axle Bolt Fractures

That has to suck knowing it is there but you can't get it yet!

    Intelligent Access Door Handles

Mine works that way. I walk up to any door, stick my fingers in the handle and it unlocks.

Safety Recall 22S27 Rear Axle Bolt Fractures

Probably because Ford hasn't really decided on the final fix IMO. If I were Ford, I would try to fix it as cheaply as possible. If there was a heat treating mistake in the bolt and a heat treated bolt actually solves the problem then I would expect them to stop. I don't think this issue will...

Car & Driver tests $108k 450 hp/6,100 lb Lincoln Navigator. Results as expected ...

Yes but I think it was more about the price difference 60k vs over 100k but I might be wrong. I’ve had plenty of full sized SUV and while they all went ok, handling was NOTHING like my ST. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
