BIG brakes for our Explorers, this time affordable

Finally got the brakes bedded and went out for some spirited driving. I will say that I am impressed. Much better braking with good ability to modulate the brakes. Hard braking is outstanding. I road raced my CTS-V with track pads on my Brembos and I would say braking is almost as good. With...

    Transmission Throttle Blip

Catted downpipes, intercooler, intake, lowering springs, ZFG 93 tune, super forged big brake kit. Usually I’m pulling out then see a car and let off gas then hit it after car passes. Almost always hitting the gas right after letting off, like within a second, will result in a pause for about a...

    Steeda Subframe bushings

Nice. Agree it’s a pretty easy install. I had mine on a lift for brakes so it was easy. Also have a -e subframe and they fit perfectly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Fenfab Toe Links, Steeda subframe bushing kit, and Superforged brake kit. Still need to bleed the brakes and get an alignment. Apparently Ford changed brake reservoir caps again and my power bleeder won’t work. Ford says caps are two days out…..wtf. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Wheel Spacers

You could always go with that look with the wheels halfway out of the wheel well[emoji23]. Not a good look imo or performance but plenty of them around here. For added bonus you could run them with massive camber! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Some nice discounted offers here! Unfortunately my wife put a temporary hold on my Lethal purchases for a while. I don’t understand the problem, she gets a Louis Vuitton purse and I get a big brake kit[emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

BIG brakes for our Explorers, this time affordable

Pedal seems pretty firm in the garage. Hoping I don’t need another round of bleeding. Won’t know for sure until I get out and bed them. Pouring today so might put the steeda subframe bushing plates in and the toe links that have been sitting in my garage. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

BIG brakes for our Explorers, this time affordable

Quickjack 7000. Wanted a little insurance on capacity. Harbor freight vacuum bleeder. I have a motive pressure bleeder, which I prefer, but don’t have a cap that fits yet. Also found out the abs bleed procedure in the Ford software assumes you are using a pressure bleeder. Might head to Ford to...

BIG brakes for our Explorers, this time affordable

Leaving all the brake lines until I’m done with everything else. Yes, brake lines suck[emoji20] I was a little worried about the wheels fitting, hence the test fit. Turns out I have tons of clearance up front. Other than the brake lines it’s actually easier than a brake job. Pads came loaded...

Got them today. First glance, impressive. Powdercoat looks good. Won’t have them installed until later tonight or tomorrow but here’s a quick comparison of the fronts. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
