Converting crossmember from 1 bolt to 2

I remember now. That was the part number but a -F. It looks like the -F was replaced with the -G. I remember doing a search on that when ordering the Steeda bushing kit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Spark Plug Heat Range

I just bought a new set of pre-gapped colder plugs and they were set at .23 or is it .023 prior to shipping. Run great and smoother than stock. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Transmission Oils, first timer

Changing fluids is always a good idea. The rear diff plug is difficult. Nothing else that I can recall. Use motorcraft ULV in trans. All else is your choice but I suggest synthetic of any good brand. I run Mobil 1 extended protection for engine and amsoil severe gear in the diffs. I use a...

    Turbo swap difficulty???

I have not done them but I’m guessing just more stuff to take off to get to them. DPs are not fun for sure but I’m guessing everything is reasonably accessible on the turbos, just more stuff to remove. Let us know how it goes! Might be on my list but not before transmission. Sent from my...

    Recall Rear Bolt Fracture?

I’m guessing a rigid connection without an isolator would be a bad thing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Safety Recall 22S27 Rear Axle Bolt Fractures

You could definitely install another bushing to the crossmember. However it would require some level of welding and minor fab work and I don’t see a dealer doing that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Heated steering wheel barely works.

Not aware of any method to increase temp. Having said that, I will say that mine gets pretty darn warm. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Best tune for 2020+ Ford Explorer ST

https://www.motorcraftservice.com/diagnostic/Support?channelId=46&categoryId=286&from=helm&language=EN-US&country=USA You need either a Ford scan tool or a Bosch master tech 2. Gives you all diagnostics and software updates dealers have. Not cheap at $800/yr. I think the Bosch was over a grand...

    Recall Rear Bolt Fracture?

Interesting. Now adding the bushing along with the bolt. Still not the true solution which we all know is a 2/4 bolt subframe. So glad I replaced mine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Recall Rear Bolt Fracture?

I wouldn’t hold my breath on a subframe unfortunately. They will likely give you a new bolt and program the parking break[emoji20] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Interesting new find…and not a good one.

That is strange for sure. Not sure hot force could be applied to bend them like that. May be a candidate for welding a reinforcing plate. Curious what others have to say. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
