Old thread, but here goes.

UPR sells a quick drain plug that is permanent, at a one-time cost of about $60. Makes emptying the oil pan much easier.

Between a decent full synthetic and a filter, each change should be around $70-$80 plus your time.

I can get my oil change done in under an hour, including prep of driving on ramps, cleaning up the oil, putting everything away, etc. It is easy to do.

Go one step further and get an oil evacuator. Stick the tube down the dipstick tube and suck it out. With the oil filter up top you never have to get under your car. I have the your too but haven’t touched it my last two oil changes.
