Can confirm this works on a 2022 as well. Nice easy way to wire your radar detector.

Can't really tell from the pics, but did he use white/red and black/black?

That's affirmative. Wire 1 is white, plug the red wire tap into this one. Wire 2 is grey, skip this one. Wire 3 is black, plug the black wire tap into this one. The grey wire (wire 2) will work, but your device will turn off when in reverse.

Mine works great. Make sure you secure the wires as if on a rough road it will wiggle out.

I want to thank everyone who contributed to this thread. I bought the item below from Amazon. It shows the extension in the pics but it didnt come with the order. I reached out to Radar Mount Co. and they sent the short pigtail extender. I needed this extender because I mount my V1 on the visor. I plugged into the white wire and black wire. The detector does not turn off in reverse and it goes off when the car is turned off. Thanks again.

going to be doing this on my 2022 Explorer ST I know this may be a redundant question but I just need to make sure that these instructions also work on the 2022. Thanks much.

Thank you ordered the part. Hopefully I’ll be doing it sometime this week.

Thanks to the postings and the pictures and the Amazon location to get this wire, I was finally able to get rid of that hideous looking coiled power cable to my escort passport 9500 IX

yesterday morning I arrived at my doctors about 20 minutes early so I was sitting in a parking lot and it dawned on me once you put this in. In all honesty, it took me all of five minutes to do using 3 minutes in gently prying open the upper and lower steering column covers. to make sure I wasn’t breaking anything.

The Dongar dashcam harness and the radar harness with the two pins make for a very quick and stealthy install of dashcam and radar. Thanks to all who contributed to this thread!

Definitely an excellent thread. Moved my BlendMount from a Mustang GT to the ST. Waiting on the 15" wire since mine is only 10". This thread saved me the frustration of popping off the cover and cursing at not being long enough to make it work. The Mustang's plug was on the back of the mirror so it was a little easier to work with. Have to wait a couple days for the wire to come in so it's granny driving mode until then!

Thanks for all the detailed info on getting this done. Removing the cover was the biggest pain in the ass, but I found by starting at the pointy side near the rearview stem worked easiest.

Can you run a radar and blend mount as well as the ford dashcam or do they occupy the same space?
