  • High Performance Package. At $1,595, the package adds performance lining to those brakes.
  • ST Street Pack, which stickers at $995, changes that by upgrading the braking system.

I have both, and the brakes are amazing. Not sure about the price point but what my lady wants, my lady gets

We actually had to take delivery of our ST without the high performance brakes as FORD was on back order and had to have them shipped to our local dealer for installation after the fact. But the braking difference is definitely noticeable.

I've been wondering what the difference in the 2 packages was. I got the Street package. Description of both sounded similar.

The high performance pack only adds performance lined brake pads

Is there anyway to visibly see the difference between the lined brakes and the ones that come with the street pack? The sticker says "dealer installed" under the high performance package... but my dealer told me they dont install anything on the explorers, and that it must have already been installed from the factory. I trust people in South Florida about as far as I can throw them.. so I am trying to see if i can determine which pads are installed on my ST.

I’m not sure, I didn’t put on eyes on both sets but my local dealer installed the performance pads on mine as the selling dealers did not have them yet. When I purchased mine the pads were on back order

Justin: My ST was supposed to have the Performance Brake Package also, but the dealer didn't install them (and didn't tell me that when I took delivery). How I found out was through the FordPass App. In the App, you'll notice an FSA (Field Service Action) alert that informed me that my vehicle was shipped without the Performance Brake Package. So I need to contact the dealer to get them installed. Good times...

I didn't get any messages like that when I added my vehicle to the app. Hopefully that means im good but it still concerns me that EVERYTHING I read says that FORD ships the brake pads to the dealer for installation.

Justin, the FSA just showed up just last weekend in my app. So I think Ford is going through the ST's one-by-one and trying to make good on what we bought. I'm going to be taking my ST into the dealer for the correct brake install. I'll be taking photos before and after for ID purposes.

That would be awesome. Might help alot of people with the high performance pack wondering the same thing.

How much are just the performance pads, if you just bought them separately?

The price difference between the ST Street Pack and the High Performance Package is $600, so one would be safe to assume it would be around the same amount for just the HP pads.

Heading to the dealer tomorrow, so I can ask the parts department if they can give me a quote. Will let you know.
