    Left strut tower....

I have that same cable on my week old 22 except my shock towers are black.. It goes to the engine and is machined where it attaches to the strut tower. Wonder if they found some electrical gremlins and added a good solid ground.

Explorer deleting second row climate controls

Damn, the more I hear about order issues the more I think I should play the lotto. Received at 9 weeks after order(3/5) and complete. Even better I have found no issues in the first 1K miles. It is puzzling to me how Ford is trying to handle this.

    2022 Explorer St - 400A or 401A

No rhyme or reason why some get delayed and others don't. I ordered loaded 12/28 and took delivery first week of March. Good luck. My vehicles are generally on the more loaded side so I understand your dilemma.

For those thinking about a "performance" exhaust system

In the supercharged CTSV crowd the twin turbo guys made way more power than the supercharged guys. Now not an apples to apples comparison of course. They just had the ability to run way more boost. Hard to beat the instant off idle power of the roots style on that 6.2L i had though. I too am...

If you use the pinch welds to jack where do you place the stands?

I just swing the pads of my 2-post lift under and push the button. Sorry couldn't resist. Many times on other vehicles I have struggled to place the jack so I can lift and still get a stand properly positioned.

Time to put in work on the audio but I have questions:

So in case anybody is interested, you can fit a TW5V2 sub in the oem sub location with a custom box. Got 4 layers on the back and sides of the box and I did a quick test fit and filled it with water to see where I am at. I've got about 6" of space from the top of my box when layed on its side...

Time to put in work on the audio but I have questions:

Thanks for that tidbit. I was going to go more layers rather than less especially with a somewhat lousy first layer in some spots. I've got a good solid layer now where the structure holds and I will add at least 5 more. Happen to have some lead shot laying around too.

Time to put in work on the audio but I have questions:

Similar here except no musical talent and my hearing took a beating in my youth standing next to concert speakers. I decided to step it up a little this time and bought an RTA so I can learn and tune my own system. Hoping that doesn't turn into a failure :) I have high expectations for that...

Time to put in work on the audio but I have questions:

Lookin good! Since you will be done before I am I am curious your thoughts on that sub.

For those thinking about a "performance" exhaust system

Exaggerating of course. But he would go into the details of the cam choice on a supercharged engine in a highly scientific manner explaining why you wanted an xyz combustion chamber size and what happened if you didn't run xyz chamber size etc, etc. But he did it with all the formulas so you...

For those thinking about a "performance" exhaust system

TMac, I enjoy reading your posts. I was an engineer many moons ago and never ended up applying it to my occupations so I lost a lot of it. Still enjoy your more technical posts. You remind me of an engineer with a screen name of Rubber Duck on the CTSV board. He would happily get into the...

Has anyone added a powered sub? Any audio techs here?

Good to know. That's one less thing I have to complain about the B&O system:p

Has anyone added a powered sub? Any audio techs here?

All accurate replies. Cdubya, you sure about not rolling off base? Every premium system I have had does that. Bleed is correct in that you need to make sure your gain on the amp is set properly. A DSP is a digital signal processor. A somewhat expensive bit that allows you to do lots of...

Has anyone added a powered sub? Any audio techs here?

That's the oem amp reducing bass when you turn up the volume to save their crappy sub. 2 Options. On is if your amp has a remote gain control you could route to the front so you can turn the bass up and down. Other option is a dsp that can help with that.

Time to put in work on the audio but I have questions:

That's what I'm shooting for. I had a bag of packing peanuts appropriating .8cuft. Looks like it should fit easily. There is a ton of space to the rear and under the oem sub so if I need the space i can expand into that area. Don't think I will need to though.

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Thank you. I've got two batteries. Fortunately half my interior is out for sound deadening. Maybe stick one under each seat or one under the console. Maybe put them under the passenger seat in case they go up in flames:eek:

Nice! Where did you install the batteries? I've got a 900S I pulled out of my truck. Was easy to find room in that huge vehicle.

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Installed my Autostop eliminator. Tried to change it in FORSCAN but I get an error when writing that module. Also put in the LED license plate, turn, and backup in. Put some black aluminum license plate frames on. Really hate having to run a front plate.
