13" sub in factory location and rest of stereo upgrade

Finished the enclosure minus mounting the sub. Also decided to ditch the spare tire. I am building a box for my amps in the spare tire well and hopefully building a lockable storage box above the amps. Large enough for the apocalypse :) I was contemplating leaving the third row out and...

    Charge Pipes

Looks awesome with the red. So you welded up your own you say. I'm afraid my welding skills are good enough to get the job done but not to be proud of. Did you buy a kit or just pieces?

Anyone tried the 22" wheel from the 13-14 edge sport on their ST

Those were my second choice to the Velgens except all black.

    Best wheels for the buck....

My choice was down to Vossen or Velgen. I went with Velgen and the customer service was excellent!

    BC represent

Nothing looks better freshly detailed than black. Nothing looks worse 20 minutes later  I had two black cars. Spent a ton of time keeping them looking good. Swore never again.

    Any 2022's Autostop Eliminated and/or FORScan'd yet

I believe it just turns it off as if you were pressing the button assuming you left it in the off position. I could change it but the update gave an error. Others have changed it only to have it come back. I'm guess it is forced back on for mpg ratings even if you turn it off. I believe...

Focal, Mosconi, Illusion and Helix build

And therein lies the rub. You want it to sound solid like more of a luxury car (at least me), and you want a decent stereo so you add and add and add weight. I should just drop 50lbs. The wheels help and a brake upgrade would help a lot more help being unsprung but that is a significant...

Focal, Mosconi, Illusion and Helix build

Wonder how much weight in copper alone you have added. I was thinking about the wheel wells as well. Car is really "tinny" compared to my last 4 vehicles. Trying to rid that any way I can.

    UNBROKEN’s Iconic Silver ST build

Ah I see. My wife's Mercedes has an Aux battery under the seat in back. If it dies, you have no gears as it drives the transmission selector motor so you can't even put it in neutral.

13" sub in factory location and rest of stereo upgrade

Really? I was 24% over sized and thought that was way too much. I was worried about being too big to not properly limit cone travel. I could have lived with 10% but I just thought a quarter oversized was just too much. Besides, I love working with fiberglass........NOT. I even prematurely...

    UNBROKEN’s Iconic Silver ST build

Where exactly did you mount that? I haven't looked but don't they give you at least an accessible positive terminal for jumping? I usually run a pigtail for a battery charger but nothing heavy gauge. I like the idea of a high current easily accessed charging point.

13" sub in factory location and rest of stereo upgrade

Typo up there. The specs say .8cuft PLUS the displacement of the driver. According to their sealed box specification the enclosure has 1,477 cubic inches before installing the driver so that is the spec I am using for total volume. I also changed my mind again. Instead of building a box to...

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Still like that classic look! Remember the first time I twisted the throttle after the Vance and Hines 4 into one. When I hit the throttle it tried to pull out of my hands when it hit[emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
