Explorer ST Wheel Size, Bolt Pattern, Offset & Tire Information

I was looking at wheels on some various websites and it appears Mustang wheels are pretty much identical based other than offset on what I researched. This opens up a lot more possibilities for wheel choices. Anyone know anything else that's different?

Budget rugged dedicated PC for FORSCAN. Mac users take note.

Hey, Cdubya, I've always been a windows user, but want to move to a Mac. I'm not building software, mostly just searching the internet and doing spreadsheets. I'd like a laptop with a decent screen. Any advice on what to buy?

Ford Performance Parts for 2020 Explorer ST

Are you being funny, or did you just not bother to read the last three pages of the post?

What ST feature do you really like/hate that has made up your mind on all future vehicle purchases?

Suspicion confirmed. You just get off whining on the internet. Are you an only child, or just the baby of the family? ;-)

What ST feature do you really like/hate that has made up your mind on all future vehicle purchases?

Here's something that I haven't done until today. Understand I'm coming from a Jag XF supercharged. Faster than the ST, yes, but that's an apples-oranges comparison. However, today for the first time (I really have been laying low since covid, now vaccinated), I put it in Sport mode as I have...

What ST feature do you really like/hate that has made up your mind on all future vehicle purchases?

@Xsbank: Every time you complain on the forum people try to give you advice to help. You never acknowledge any help and continue to complain. What exactly do you want from the people here? Take the vehicle into your Ford dealership and bitch at them. Of course, they won't be able to help you...

    Just installed a Whipple intercooler.

Excellent info! Thanks for the post. What are you using to datalog?

    A used conundrum

I would definitely bargain for an extended warranty- equal to what Ford gives for a new ST. If they won't do that, I'd pass.

BEWARE: Driveshaft kaboom from emergency auto-brake

As far as I can tell from the pictures, looks like the front carrier bearing died. Probably has something to do with driver trying to use accelerator to override the autostop putting a lot of torque on the bearing. It shouldn't normally be a problem unless the driveshaft itself was out of true...

    Axle oil change

It's incorrect that Ford has been using 5W-20 for years.

What ST feature do you really like/hate that has made up your mind on all future vehicle purchases?

I've had over 60 cars in my life. The ST is my first Ford. I bought it in Feb of 2020 and haven't had a single problem. I guess I'm lucky. But, most of the things that xsbank complains about are things that are "features" of the car. I've turned off all the nanny stuff and as far as the...

    Gearhead Tuned ~ 21' ST

Just to make sure, those latest times only reflect a Whipple intercooler and downpipes? Just for info, were these SPD catted downpipes? I know Lokiwolf is running low 12s completely stock with just a ZFG tune.

    VP Racing Octanium® Unleaded

I was "tongue in cheek" on my post. Sunoco is a race fuel, not an octane booster, although it could be used as one. In order for any octane booster to achieve those numbers requires a large amount of MMT and/or TEL combined with some sort of solvent, probably Toluene, MTBE, or other methyl or...

    VP Racing Octanium® Unleaded

The Boostane "shot" shows 96 octane. The Sunoco products are at least 8 points higher. I'll leave it to someone else to do the math- seem pretty self evident to me that Boostane is no where near as cost effective as Sunoco's products. No, I do not work for Sunoco!

    VP Racing Octanium® Unleaded

In fact, after looking at those prices, I'm thinking of investing in a webpage for Tmactane. Just need a website, some 25 cent Chinese made bottles, a funnel, and someone to ship it. Probably a million dollar business. Anyone wanna invest?

    VP Racing Octanium® Unleaded

Just for perspective, 5 gallons of Boostane Pro is $399.00! Buying it in the small form factor is even more- $499!!!

    VP Racing Octanium® Unleaded

I'm lucky enough to have a local Sunoco station that sells their race fuel in 5 gallon cans. You can get 260 GT Plus 104 octane (r+m)/2 or Evo 10 (105 octane). Both are unleaded, main difference is 02 content. Cheaper to buy in 5 gallon quantities than Boostane.

My full size SUV goes all the way to 11!

Nice post! To address a couple of your points (1) I have to say though that it depends on where you're coming from. My previous ride was a 2012 Jaguar XF supercharged. The Jaguar system wasn't laggy, it was glacial- as in unusable. The backup camera view normally would appear after I...

Ford Performance Parts for 2020 Explorer ST

The facts are: We now know there's no difference other than the tuning between the 365 hp models and the 400 hp ST. So, Ford has already produced a "tune" for the ST. Also, on other hi-po Fords, they have said a tune was "in the works" and never delivered. Due to the marketing of the ST as...

    22x11 Ferrada CM2s

I've seen posts of about 80 lbs for the stock 21" wheel tire offset. I'm interested in forged wheels, but curious about the weight. Thanks for taking the time.
