    New 2025 Ford Explorer ST

FWIW, the extractor shows how many liters you have extracted, it has measurements on the side. You also know how many liters it took to fill it to the recommended fill line on the dip stick. Keep in mind, you're never going to drain everything, even if you pull the plug. There is oil everywhere...

    New 2025 Ford Explorer ST

I'd say you can get 99% of the oil out. The extractor creates suction much like drinking soda through a straw. And when you get to the bottom it makes that same sucking sound like when your cup is empty. You'll want to perform the oil change when the engine is warm so any debris is...

P2C90 Code After Oil Change – Check Your Oil Cap

Good to know. And another reason why I'm the only person who changes the oil on my ST. In the past, I've had "lube techs" skip changing the oil filter and also one time I caught them using cheap oil after I paid for premium synthetic. Also, it's a really good idea to double check the oil level...

2025 Explorer ST "Must Have Mods"

Will there be any issues with warranties when installing these items?

2025 Explorer ST "Must Have Mods"

So you just bought a 2025 Explorer ST and you have decided that you need to spend more money on it.:ROFLMAO: What do you buy first? Below are some items that I have personally bought, tested, and found to be worthy of buying during the Explorer honeymoon phase. This is not necessarily a...

    Aftermarket/OEM 2nd Row Window Shades for '25 Job 2

Solved: This is an awesome alternative for around $95.00 that offer more coverage than OEM These shades are are specifically designed for 6th Gen Explorers 20-25. They fit firmly in to the window sills and can be easily installed and removed. They also include a magnet attachment, but mine stay...

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Just did the first oil change on my 25 at 650 miles to clear out any break in debris. I used the extraction method and knocked it out in 15 minutes with little effort or mess. Total cost was $47.96 for 6qts of Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5w-30 and Ford Motorcraft Filter FL-2062-A.

    New 2025 Ford Explorer ST

The oil change is pretty standard. There is an underbody cover you will need to remove first. The main issue people have is the plastic oil plug is different than you are probably used to on a standard metal oil pan. Why Ford used a plastic pan and plug, we can only guess. I go a different...

Why Didn't I Get An "ST" Logo Fab? A 2025 Letter to FORD CEO

When I traded my 23 ST for the 25 ST, I swapped the "ST" cover from the old fob to the new. It's a simple process, it's just the back cover that you remove to change the battery. The problem is finding someone who wants to let you swap covers. My dealership was cool with it.

    Lincoln Aviator shocks, struts, springs

Ok perfect, I'll look into the Platinum's setup. Thanks for your help, man!

    Lincoln Aviator shocks, struts, springs

Ah so the Aviator has "air ride"? I thought maybe it just ran a more comfortable version of what we have.

    Lincoln Aviator shocks, struts, springs

I read somewhere that the Aviator shocks, struts, and springs will work on our Explorers. Is this a direct bolt-on solution for those who would prefer a more comfortable ride?

UPR or any kind of drain plug replacement recommendation?

Never said anywhere the extraction method replaces preventative maintenance.:cautious::whistle: But in this case, where after market parts had to be created because Ford used ridiculous plastic oil plugs and plastic oil pans, it's certainly a "helpful" tip.

UPR or any kind of drain plug replacement recommendation?

Pro-Tip:I use the extraction method and bypass messing with the oil plug at all, or having to get dirty under the vehicle. These vehicles have the oil filter located on top and the entire oil change can be done right there. There are plenty of youtube videos showing the process. You will need to...

    Explorer number 5

No sunroof means less heavy glass, motors, rails. The "sun and sound" package adds weight with all that and the extra speakers on the BO system. Less weight equals faster. My 25 is lean and mean.

    Don't fear the dip

Just wanted to put this out there. It's definitely not a new thing, but I feel it can help some members who just acquired a new vehicle and are looking for a nice inexpensive mod. One of the first things a lot of Ford owners change is the GIANT blue oval on the grill and rear lid. When I got my...
