The part numbers came from the Missing Parts post in the Maintenance, Warranty Issues & Trouble section of this forum.

Dphan67's post above says 4 ST's out of 11 had the cover.

I had them dremel-off the 4 screw extensions prior to installing the Borla S-type exhaust. Not the flex connection (Gene Hackman :ROFLMAO:) rattling either. It is simply a louder tone coming out of the rear tailpipes at idle. I am not complaining. Probably sounds better. Only thing I can think...

Installed the Borla S-type exhaust a week or two ago. Took the vehicle on a road trip last week for about 120 miles. This week when I start the vehicle up the exhaust at idle sounds about 20 percent louder than when the exhaust system was first installed. Anyone else notice this and is it common?

I think my dealer in Wichita is OK with mods.....

Trying to find the post of someone here who thought the Borla S-type was too loud and they toned it down by adding Borla resonator(s). It listed the Borla part number for the resonator(s). Would also like to hear an audio file of the difference if possible.

How does this affect the headlight aiming?

I was thinking 485 hp (seat of the pants) so not far off. My ST feels similar to my old 1972 Chevelle SS454 which had a built-up LS-7, 4500 stall converter, racing turbo 400 and 5:38 posi with slicks. It is crazy to have so much potential power and not even have changed the stock exhaust yet.

Welcome. Add the whipple intercooler and the ZFG E50 tune and you'll laugh, in retrospect, at how slow the stock ST really is. It took me awhile to get to the point mentally where I was willing to dismantle a perfectly good SUV to install the intercooler and/or mess with the tune but the pain...
