Vossen HF-2 Wheel and Tire Questions

I stumbled onto photos of a custom hybrid explorer in Vossens wheel catalog which has Vossen HF-2 wheels. I am wanting to tap the groups experience and find out if these wheels and tires will fit without issues on a North Amercian Explorer ST with the 21 inch street package (wheels and brakes)...

    Borla Exhaust Upgrade

I had the excess length of the four bolts cut off after the removal of the stock mufflers and before the install of the Borla mufflers. Problem solved.

Airbox tube P/N after installing catch can

Mine ended up against the large electrical plug also but there was just enough space to keep the connection from being misaligned. The Coyote would disguise the original hole using Black Gorilla "Hole Relocation Tape" or a decal and then re-drill the hole further to the right.

H&R Springs & Bora Spacers Installed!

Seems to me you would want the same shaped lug nut with the cone shaped inner side to keep centered in the hole like the bora nuts but also adding a locking mechanism to the bola styled nut.

    Borla S-Type Exhaust Getting Louder

See "Who added Borla Resonators to the Borla S-Type Install?" for the resolution.

Who added Borla Resonators to the Borla S-Type Install?

Oh the sweet sound of a stock 2020 ST idling by a fireplace.

Who added Borla Resonators to the Borla S-Type Install?

Finally found what I was looking for. You had previously posted Borla #400937 resonators. Just ordered a pair from Summit.

Who added Borla Resonators to the Borla S-Type Install?

So Borla updated their website over the past few months. There used to be a 2.25" straight through resonator starting with a 6 series part number. Now they are listing crate mufflers. Do you remember the part number for the resonators? I assume they were the 2.25" in/out?

Who added Borla Resonators to the Borla S-Type Install?

If Borla would have sold the mufflers seperately with the black tips or even sold the black tips seperately I would have done that. I did research for months to find a tip I liked but wasn't finding what I wanted which was the Borla look with an acceptable exhaust tone. I like the way the Borla...

Who added Borla Resonators to the Borla S-Type Install?

Anybody modify their Borla S-type exhaust on their 2020 Explorer ST to quiet down the tone?

    Redline Hood Struts

Regarding the Redline Hood Struts - Does anyone remember if the rivets were 3/16" steel or aluminum? The ones I received were shiny steel (black ends) and were magnetic. My rivet tool wouldn't install them. I wrote Redline but, in the meantime, I also wanted to know if anyone else received...

Do you remember if the rivets were 3/16" steel or aluminum. The ones I received were shiny steel (black ends) and were magnetic. My rivet tool wouldn't install them. I wrote Redline but also wanted to know if anyone else received aluminum or steel rivets, had issues with installing the rivets...

    Vertical Distortions In The Windshield

No, phone camera sucks. Imagine a 20 inch tall bar code pasted to the inside of the windshield with the black stripes of the bar code being replaced by vertical glass distortions (unknown width - say one inch) spaced horizontally by some unknown distance - say one inch.

    Having Some Fun Comparing ST's

So I had the H&R springs installed by another closer Ford dealer and the wheels aligned. Made the mistake of asking them to check the resulting aim of the headlights. They adjusted the aim of the headlight to focus on the pavement about twenty feet in front of the truck. So tonight I took the ST...

    Vertical Distortions In The Windshield

Has anyone notice any vertical distortions in the windshield. When I am cleaning the inside of my drivers side window and look over at the passenger side windshield from about the steering wheel angle there are repeated vertical distortions in the windshield almost the full height of the...

Does a full exhaust make a difference? You decide.

That is true one has to add the driver dead load. In the old days one could shave a tenth for every 100 lbs of weight removed. You need to start removing the seats :) So why are you still using a 93 tune instead of an E50 tune?

Does a full exhaust make a difference? You decide.

For a 4700 lb car it looks like it makes about 12 hp difference using the 1/10 gain in ET and the following simplistic equations: https://www.gregraven.org/hotwater/calculators/hp-from-qm.html
