Yes, I also wonder how accurate the display is. I have only been accelerating in Normal mode when I check the display. Definitely should be checking other modes. Also have not been in snow/ice to watch what it does there.

Actually the power goes to the transfer case first before getting to the rear diff. My other older Explorers (body on frame wth two speed transfer case) definitely only send power to the rear when on automatic mode. On those I lock in 4WD when on icy stuff so I don't feel the transfer case...

On dry pavement with normal acceleration the display shows power to all four wheels. Have not tested other driving combinations, but just always wondered about the rear wheel bias since the display shows that.

Yes, the article said you could still control the third zone from the front. It also gave the impression that only the heated seat controls would be added later. If so then I assume a special panel would be created for just those buttons.

I can guess that getting the seat heat controls added later will cost the owner money since Ford applies a hundred dollar credit for deleting them.

Where you see 70 mine is blank. Those numbers only show at the top of the touchscreen. Not on the HVAC controls. The picture is from a website showing a 2020 model. Current Ford advertising shows the display gone while it is there on previous years advertising.
