Explorer deleting second row climate controls

It is supposed to arrive at the dealer tomorrow and be ready to go on Tuesday. I'll report back.

Explorer deleting second row climate controls

Yikes, my '22 is supposed to arrive next week. Nothing about this was disclosed to me.

    Code P062C won't accelerate

This code came up and the vehicle would not accelerate, it took almost a block to reach 40 km/h. I cleared the code and unhooked the battery and it is driveable but has a noticeable lurch when toggling the shifter between gears. Including when going into neutral. It is a vehicle speed sensor...

    Transmission Leak

They are replacing the entire transmission assembly, they suspect the leak is from the torque converter but it would require a tear down to determine where it was leaking from. Ford will likely do an autopsy on the unit and determine what the cause was. I know the service manager so...

    Transmission Leak

I was finding spots of transmission fluid on the driveway so I got it up on the ramps yesterday to have a look and found this: The drop was at the bottom of the bellhousing but I could not determine exactly where it was coming from as the cooler lines had some fluid on them but did not find any...

    ST Teething pains

Ford replaced the hood on my 2017 explorer sport after the infamous iron particle embedment that has plagued all the domestic manufacturers for 15+ years.

    Sunroof vs no Sunroof

I don't open it much but I like having the light and being able to see upwards. I also have the glass roof on my mustang (non opening) and I love being able to see upwards in the mountains and in the city. I'm 6'2" and do not find that the headroom is lacking on these vehicles with the sunroof...

Will there be an Explorer RS?

Ford did have some patent drawings with a V8 and AWD for this platform. Throw in the predator engine from the GT500 and you have an answer for the Trackhawk.

Valentine V1 Mirror Mounted w/ SAVVY

If you run an android device, check out JBV1 on the play store. It is an awesome companion to a V1 detector.

Snows on the ST w/20" wheels

If they are stock 2019 Explorer wheels, the hub size will be too small. If they are an aftermarket wheel, measure the hub size.

    1-off exhaust system complete

That sounds really good. Great work. How is the noise level?

    Magnaflow exhaust finally previewed!

Very disappointed in the price. Even with the typical markdown from MSRP at most speed shops, that is still going to be something like $1400. Ugh...

    Stiffer motor mounts?

I'd have it checked out. I have not felt anything remotely close to what you have described.

    Cold Air Intake

The issue with the ones for the explorer sport is that they gained zero power for most consumers. With a relatively small displacement motor that breathes through turbos, you just don't get as much of a restriction at the moment the throttle body opens like you do on a bigger motor. Once the...

Check this brand new ST out !!!

That looks sharp. I hate the textured black bodywork. I have not pulled off putting any product on the car without getting at least one smudge of polish on it and it is a bitch to get off. Hopefully Ford listens to us on this and gets rid of it. At least it "blends" on a black truck.

So what do you all do?

I was an exploration geologist for 15 years but got sick of being away from home for 3/4 of my life and being away from my family. Work has been really spotty lately and way too boom and bust for my tolerance level. I got sick of spending all summer in a tent, getting chased by bears and bugs...

Anyone order rims and tires from PMC tire.com? $88 a rim for 18 inch and says it will fit our performance brakes?

That is going to tuck in a lot. I have a set of 20x10's for winter with a 40mm offset and although they come out a bit more than the stock 21's, they still need about 7-10 mm less of offset to be flush. With a 6.5" wide wheel and that much offset, you might need to check clearance on the inside.
  18. R

Probably a dumb question about winter tires but......

PMC tire has been excellent so far. I have bought 2 sets of tires for my other cars from there and the local shops can't touch them for price.

    SCT tuner

I do my hits at operating temperature with this vehicle-I've done most of my timed runs immediately after it has been driven-not just idled. With the micro stock intercooler, it will likely heatsoak from sitting still for any length of time. The 4.67 was after about 20 minutes of driving.

    Ford - tune detect

There are definitely some false justifications in that guide. At least this guide doesn't stretch things too far and say that putting an aftermarket air filter on will void your warranty claim for a leaking sunroof.
