ABS profile "police" brakes - forscan

Relating experience from other vehicles...I've seen ABS systems have different programming related to different brake rotor diameters available on a vehicle and "predictive lockup". It makes sense this variable would differ based on different performance potential as you don't want the system...

Remove "Explorer" from rear of 2025 ST

Are you referring to the explorer lettering between the taillights? I believe that is part of the trim, but I am not 100% sure. Curious myself now.

Film on windshield, nothing has worked!

The offgassing of some of the materials used in the construction of the vehicle can cause this. That's why you'll see it on brand new vehicles for a bit and then nothing on older cars. Why Your Car Windows Get That Nasty Haze On Them I've purchased 3 new cars in the last 2 years (different...

    Best Cell Phone Mount

I just put my phone in the stock slot and plug it in. I do everything via voice or carplay.

    Captain chairs rattle

My bench seat does it too. Pass side outer seat. I can make it rattle myself by giving the seat a good whack. Waiting for warmer weather to go through it and ID the cause and correct it with some padding.

    Alibaba Wheels

This. I work with a lot of machine shops in China (and the US) as an engineer. You can get some really good quality stuff out of China, but at a cost. If you provide specific specs, and QC requirements and require certain testing and validation, it drives the price up. In fact it...

    Leaking oil?

I don't think so either, but listed on the invoice right under the O-ring and some misc bolts and anti-seize is 4x VC-13-G antifreeze. No idea if that's gallons, quarts or ounces. I didn't catch it until home so didn't ask the dealer about it.

    Leaking oil?

Just had this seal replaced under warranty on my 2023. 34K miles. Had the vehicle in for service for an unrelated reason and in their inspection they found this. I think the last time i changed the leak, i may have seen the start of it and just assumed I had been a little messy the last...

Gloss black control bezel upgrade for 2020

The two clips are the two worst with that bezel. You almost feel you are about to break the part before they release. When you reinstall, make sure you slide the two upper parts of the bezel under the carbon fiber trim. It's easy to not notice it hanging up on them.

Replaced the Front Grill Ford Emblem on a 2025 ST

I see them, but can't find the style I want. I want the same as the OE oval, but just with the back background. I still want the chrome. This with black background...but for the steering wheel. If someone can find that combo i would appreciate it.

NGK Plug change, and don't go to Ford to have it done.

Interesting question for tech/service writers. If they quote the job with labor/cost associated with draining the coolant, and the tech just moves the lines to the side, do they still bill for that service even if they don't do it?

    Heat Fan Blower Motor Location

I have 34k now, but it started to become noisy right around 20k miles. I just lived with it by turning the AC or radio up to block out the sound. Fortunately it seems like an easy repair. 3 bolts and it’s out from below so no disassembly of the entire dash. for those out of warranty, it...

    Heat Fan Blower Motor Location

Just to update. Brought it in for warranty and the dealer replaced the blower motor for me. Silent once again

How-To: Creating your own ST Lighted Cup Holder Harness

Often times, with data control wiring, the ground wire needs to be sourced from the same module as the control circuit if the ground is isolated from main vehicle grounding I have no idea if this is this case here but something to keep in mind if you continue to not be able to get it to work

    ST Line logo in grill

I think the owner performed that mod. I parked next to an '25+ ST-line today at the mall and there was nothing in the grill. Best way i've found to spot them is the little STline badges on the fenders ahead of the mirrors. For 2025+, the larger ST specific brakes are now an option on the...

What’s everyone getting for fuel economy?

Right now based on the last 2-3K miles of driving the vehicle is showing an average fuel economy of 19.6 MPG. 91-93 octane (depending on what the station has) This car is just daily transportation to me. Lots of time idling in school drop-off and traffic. Mix of normal, eco and sport mode...

    Rear ford emblem removal

I bought the Timberline ones for $115. They were the style I wanted that was just a standard Ford oval but with a black background instead. Haven't installed yet due to winter. I figure i'd have an easier time with removing the rear if i wait until a nice warm day.

How-To: Creating your own ST Lighted Cup Holder Harness

Ah you are right. Not sure why I missed that. In fact now that gives me another idea for how I can wire this up. (y)

How-To: Creating your own ST Lighted Cup Holder Harness

It’s not power and ground. It’s a RGB type LED that requires 3-wires and needs to tap into the existing ambient lighting system. That’s how it’s designed so you can cycle through the various optional colors
