I'm considering removing the explorer lettering from the hood and from the rear liftgate of my 2025 ST. I've found threads about removing the hood letters but cannot find anything on the rear letters. Just trying to confirm there's nothing but adhesive holding them on and if anyone else has done this. Thanks for any help.

Yep, the rear “ST” emblem is just held on my adhesive.

Are you referring to the explorer lettering between the taillights?

I believe that is part of the trim, but I am not 100% sure. Curious myself now.

Yes, that's correct, the explorer letters between the taillights. I've found some facebook threads of people saying they come off easy and at least one guy that said he damaged the taillight bar doing it and that it's not worth the risk. Google AI says they are held on by adhesive only. Just looking for any experience people have had to see if it's worth the risk. I generally despise those letters on the front and the back, not because they look bad, but because cleaning around them is a hassle and never really gets done right without more attention to detail than I'm willing to put into a regular wash and dry.

The guy who messed up used the wrong adhesive remover. You need to make sure to use automotive goo goo gone.
