The 8’s exposed some serious rattles in the outer door cladding…that went away today with a combination of CCF, CLD, Tessa tape and butyl rope.

Exactly. The valves can only keep the exhaust as quiet as it already is. Their function is to make it louder when open.

To be fair…what did you expect to happen? And the valves the guy told you about are cut-outs…they’re to make the exhaust louder when open…not quieter.

Yes, several times including in past competition systems. I have no doubt these will shine after break in and a re-tune. I was trying to avoid the cost…but I guess I knew deep down I’d move to these.

There’s a guy on FB testing one out but it’s not a truly larger bore. They’re just machining them Venturi style and using the oem size blade. I think he said he planned to try a larger straight bore with a larger blade but I haven’t seen anything else.

Upgraded my midbass’ and midranges. Focal Utopia M 8WM and 3.5WM

Had a nice afternoon swapping things out. One thing that surprised me was no gaskets supplied with the Utopia stuff…for the price that seems trivial to leave out. Luckily I had plenty of thin CCF to cut my own. The midbass’ are mounted on MTI adapters and they cut me some smaller mounting plates...

I use my old X4 regularly to do a KAM reset.

IC won’t change your 0-60 times appreciably. The oem IC holds its own until then. The Whipple will shine after that though.
