    Tuning for dummies

They hit gas shops pretty hard about the same time. SCT got hit really hard and made some changes in the name of self preservation. I helped start one of the biggest high performance diesel forums out there years ago...I was heavily into diesel performance stuff...we tried like hell to talk...

More goodies: FenFabrication Cold air intake and IC Piping

I’m talking about the oem design. Easy to build replacement parts with a car to test fit each piece. Pain in the ass to build production line jigs to get kits out the door AND make sure they fit.

More goodies: FenFabrication Cold air intake and IC Piping

Everything is so damn convoluted on these things. I don’t know how you even build a jig to do these production line style.

Blow Off Valve for the ST

Neither of the things you list are BOV’s. They’re simple VTA spacers.

I’d like to see pricing on both.

More goodies: FenFabrication Cold air intake and IC Piping

I hope they’re building jigs for all this stuff.

Basic brakes to ST brake kit

Again, the wheels don’t need to be changed.

Basic brakes to ST brake kit

I’d get a second opinion considering not only will your 20” wheels work but so will 18’s. The PIU models have the same brakes as the ST...they’re just not red. Hard to take anything else that dealer says as fact.

    Has anyone changed exhaust tips?

Check the mufflers. If they’re shiny you have a Borla exhaust.

    UNBROKEN’s Iconic Silver ST build

It doesn’t “bury the bolt”. That bolt is up high and hard to reach but still readily accessible.

    UNBROKEN’s Iconic Silver ST build

I don’t. Sorry. Are they adjusting it from the correct spot? Upper control arm at the frame?

Critique my proposed audio system setup (AudioFrog, Alpine, JL)

The front oem is a 6x9. If a shop can’t fab an adapter plate to run a 6.5 I’d be looking for a different shop. lol I plan to run an 8” midbass...which also fits with an adapter plate.

Critique my proposed audio system setup (AudioFrog, Alpine, JL)

Do the 3 way front first with no rear fill. Ran active and tuned properly with a DSP you likely won’t even miss the rears. You can always add it later if you feel like you need it.

Critique my proposed audio system setup (AudioFrog, Alpine, JL)

Honestly your best bet is to focus your money on the front doors. Deaden the hell out of them and step up to a GB60/GB25/GB10 3 way instead of the GS....even if you have to move some other stuff around or wait a bit. The step up from GS to GB is substantial.

    Crutchfield Research Updated

It’s the door panels themselves. They’re made from multiple pieces and they rattle like crazy. Strategically placed sound deadener will cure it. Take a look at my thread about sound deadening...you may be interested.

Basic brakes to ST brake kit

It’s a great combo for every day driving...not just track stuff. In fact they would be inadequate for that. And 18” wheels still fit.

Basic brakes to ST brake kit

Rotors, calipers and caliper mounting brackets for sure. Doubtful on the lines.

    Always in Sport Mode?

Not true. They default to normal no matter who tuned it.
