What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Yeah, I've been reading up on that. May install those in the coming weeks.

    ZFG Racing Tune Review

Yep, that was exactly me. I wanted better passing power on two-lane roads, a little extra punch for interstate moves and on-ramps, and something that made spirited driving more enjoyable.

    ZFG Racing Tune Review

On the Ford system updates — Adam mentioned that if the ECU is updated during one of those Ford releases, it will remove the tune. You just re-read the stock file and flash your previous tune back on. My software is working fine as is, so I turned the updates off for now. If they roll out...

    Wipers seem very cheap

Yeah, mine was like 7/22/25, and I bought it 9/29. 7 miles, so it had some time in the sun.

    ZFG Racing Tune Review

Just wanted to put together a quick write-up. When I started researching tunes for this vehicle, FP, Goose, LMS, and ZFG came up repeatedly. All had good information and solid reputations. In the end, ZFG felt like the right choice for me. Nothing against the others—I’ve used FP once and LMS...

Transmission fluid change required for tune?

After my 1200-mile oil change, I added another 1/2 qt. Intend on Transmission service every 50k miles.

    Wipers seem very cheap

Yep. My wife's car is a garage queen (maybe 40 miles a week), where mine is in the driveway all the time and gets 1k miles a month. I have to replace hers many times before I replace mine lol.

    Wipers seem very cheap

One problem is, no telling how long the "new" wipers just sat out in the sun and weather not moving. Not using them is worse than using them regularly.

    EXHAUST RECCOMENDATIONS/REVIEWS

Unfortunately, around here, traffic is so bad now, not much spirit. The juice is more just for needed situations, passing, on ramp, etc I could do spirited driving at 0500 when I go to work, but I'm the only one on the road lol, so I just set the cruise. I have a heavy foot, so I like how tunes...

    EXHAUST RECCOMENDATIONS/REVIEWS

As a daily driver, I'd disagree. Suppose racing, tracking, whatever, then sure. My edge was a totally different animal with a Livernois tune, and I never did the IC. The Explorer drives better. I'd caveat it as "daily driving" or more. If it's a daily driver, what a tune provides isn't wasted...

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Did my 2500-6000rpm and 0-60's today after installing revision 1. Submitting to ZFG.

2025 Explorer ST Perimeter Plus Security Alarm shock sensor installation

Thanks. I’ve seen the Ford promo through Chase and need to take advantage of that. So the system just triggers the horn if someone attempts a break-in? The install looks very straightforward, and it’s nice that it doesn’t require any dealer programming to work.

2025 Explorer ST Perimeter Plus Security Alarm shock sensor installation

Can you share where you bought and the part number. Id do this in a second. Nevermind, see it in the pic.

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

I have not. Just got by next tune back but Im out of town. Will load Monday. Looks like he wants logs on another 3rd or 4th gear pull, and then a 0-60. I can say the 0-60 I did on Thanksgiving day did not amuse the wife LOL, she wasn't expecting it, and it was full send.

    EXHAUST RECCOMENDATIONS/REVIEWS

These EcoBoost engines don’t really gain much from exhausts or CAIs — they’re already designed well from the stock form. Those upgrades are mainly for sound/looks. If you want real performance gains, tuning is the easiest way to add 40–100 hp. After that, you start getting into the bigger stuff...

    EXHAUST RECCOMENDATIONS/REVIEWS

That’s what I notice with the 2.5". Cold start sounds good, but it’s not over the top — which I appreciate since I’m leaving for work at 5 AM every day. After owning two GTs with Borla setups… those definitely had the potential to piss off the neighbors.

    EXHAUST RECCOMENDATIONS/REVIEWS

The Thermal 2.5" has a great tone on cold start and when you get on it — aggressive enough to enjoy, but not over the top. At highway speeds (around 80 mph), it’s practically nonexistent. If you’re looking for more volume and presence, the Thermal 3" is the way to go.

    Catch Can Worth It?

I installed the J&L and plan to check it around the 3k-mile mark — really curious to see what it’s catching. For what it’s worth, I only run Shell or Chevron 93 octane and stick to 5k-mile OCIs.

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Drove it about 100 miles yesterday, and boy did the base tune give it some pep.
