As a daily driver, I'd disagree. Suppose racing, tracking, whatever, then sure. My edge was a totally different animal with a Livernois tune, and I never did the IC. The Explorer drives better. I'd caveat it as "daily driving" or more. If it's a daily driver, what a tune provides isn't wasted. If you want more pep and sound, tune it and grab the thermal. After watching more videos, I'll prob do a IC next year for the fun of it, but swaybar is next.

Tune will certainly be good but without the IC you will be leaving a lot of performance on the table in a "spirited" driving session. If all you are doing is going light to light in the city or cruising on the highway and want some more passing power sure leave the stock IC on with a tune.
