Quick 10 minute install of the Ford Perimeter Plus Alarm. The alarm module plugs into the Gateway moduse which is located on the front passenger side under the carpet under the dash. Just bend the tab down and push in the clip on back center of the plug. Install adapter cable and wire tie module to the 2 holes on the left side of the gateway module. Get inside drivers seat, close the door, turn on control Power, wait for it to power up, turn it off, lock and unlock doors and then test. Leave vehicle lock doors wait 20 seconds and the try to shake or create a vibration. Should beep once and if you continue the full alarm will sound.

Did you install the optional LED light as well?

I just bought this from “Ford” accessories online. They are running either 20 or 25% off accessories until 12/1 and it was $223 shipped with no install. I also get 5% cashback with Chase doing this.

I have bought this type of module from eBay “Ford” parts stores for my last 4 vehicles. The optional LED was $15 from “Ford” accessories but requires a $150 install. I bought that off eBay for $14 shipped as well.

Thanks. I’ve seen the Ford promo through Chase and need to take advantage of that.

So the system just triggers the horn if someone attempts a break-in? The install looks very straightforward, and it’s nice that it doesn’t require any dealer programming to work.

Correct. This install and programming can be done in the driveway. Just power on (not start) and off. The vehicle should cycle the locks after a few seconds to show the alarm is working and synced to the vehicle. This is easier than on my previous 22 Explorer and 23 Bronco. It’s easier to install too. Mine should be here Wednesday this week.

Here’s the module on a F350
