What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

    Where did you get that?

    Stock Speakers.

Regarding sound deadening, I did a pretty though job on the doors. Not only does the stereo sound better but when you close the door it no longer sounds like a cheap subcompact. Used to be real tinny when closing and sounded super cheap. Now they are much quieter with more of a thud than a...

    Stock Speakers.

Have to agree with @UNBROKEN. I did stock replacements in my Yukon Denali a few years back. Was underimpressed by the improvement just replacing speakers. Then I did sound deadening and it sounded like I spent another two grand on the sound system. Made a huge difference. Since then it is...

    UNBROKEN’s Iconic Silver ST build

35 iirc. Currently running 295/40R22. Sorry, 22x10.5 5x114.3 ET 30. Stock ride height, soon to have Steeda lowering springs installed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    UNBROKEN’s Iconic Silver ST build

No alignment needed as long as it was aligned before. Those wheels were my second choice. Went with Velgen's in the same size.

13" sub in factory location and rest of stereo upgrade

Got my amps hooked up and working. Spent a lot of time just getting sound out of the speakers. I have basic sound but need to spend much more time tuning.

13" sub in factory location and rest of stereo upgrade

Getting there. Got the last door completed. Now my sound system consists of one center speaker and two rear pillars. Hoping to work on hooking up the new speakers to the new amps to start some tuning on Sunday.

    2022 Ford Explorer Platinum ST

Safety Recall 22S27 Rear Axle Bolt Fractures

Definitely is more noticeable after the pcm update. Before I noticed it every once in a while. Now I notice it every time I come out of park. Sometimes it takes a decent stab at the accelerator to get it to release especially first thing in the morning. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Safety Recall 22S27 Rear Axle Bolt Fractures

Just an update, I notice the Ebrake much more now. Every time I shift from park into either reverse or Drive the ebrake is on until I hit the accelerator pedal. ST won't roll when I shift into Drive until I hit the gas.

Safety Recall 22S27 Rear Axle Bolt Fractures

If you want to PM me your VIN I can try. It does have a place to manually enter a vin. Just don't know if it will show anything when not connected to your ST.

Safety Recall 22S27 Rear Axle Bolt Fractures

Just an FYI. I have a Ford subscription and a Bosch VCI. I was playing around on the ST and noticed three updates available. A front door module update, a rear door update and a PCM update. I am assuming the PCM update is the recall but not 100%. FWIW I can feel no difference in power with...

Who Has Downpipes + Thermal Exhaust ??

Thanks for that. I wanted to order some in advance of putting my DP's and exhaust on.

What is missing on the 2022 ST from factory

Wheel hop usually ends up breaking things in my experience especially with sticky tires. Not a bad idea to add a little support.

Response delay when smashing the accelerator.

I've had a couple cars and trucks where it would get a dead pedal for a bit. To me it always felt like torque management, limiting power to minimize chances of breaking the trans. Would definitely show up at the worst times like pulling out in front of somebody, wanting full power and getting...

Request for some info - undercarriage fasteners

I always seem to have a screw or two left over along with a loose screw somewhere :D. When I did the whipple I had one screw left over. Couldn't for the life of me figure where it goes.

13" sub in factory location and rest of stereo upgrade

Got three doors done with sound deadening and speakers. Man is it labor intensive. Takes me about 6 hours a door. Now I am ever motivated to finish the stereo as I am down to one door and the center channel for my listening enjoyment. Another day for the driver's door and a few hours to get...

High flow cats Vs cattless downpipes

No doubt, that thing was a piece of dung. I was afraid it was going to be my first car:oops: Fortunately it ended up being a 68 Mustang Coupe with a 289. Much better!

High flow cats Vs cattless downpipes

These days a good set of high flow cats flow pretty darn good even compared to straight pipes IMO. Not like the good old days when you could pick up good ponies going catless. The early cats sucked. We had a Mercury Monarch that was for sale after a snow storm. We let it idle in the driveway...
