What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Those HR? Interesting they go progressive on what I think is the fronts. I just did the Steedas and they were not progressive but I like them. Doesn't drop much and keeps the rake. Let us know what you think once you get them installed.

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Couldn't agree more! I had a 2011 CTS-V hopped up to 700HP, then I went to full sized 3500 series pickups. Then I bought the ST and felt reasonably impressed with it's quickness and handling. After driving it for 3 months the thrill is gone and I feel I need to load my tune(y) For what it...

Was that the one with the Yamaha motor? A friend of mine had one way back when. Thing was pretty fast for the day.

    Potential ST owner

After driving 3500Hd products from GM for a long time I was looking for something a little smaller that fit in my garage. Settled on the ST. Definitely getting used to the size and nimble steering. Have been really happy with the St in the few months I’ve had it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Converting crossmember from 1 bolt to 2

Given your experience I say no problem. Just take your time and stay organized. I always take lots of pics before i start taking things apart.

I think dealers are scrapping for any extra dollars they can get. I was talking to my GM dealer of 25 years and 5 vehicles and he told me they are really suffering with cash flow. He said the only good thing is they were not carrying debt for huge inventory. They are selling pavement by the...

    2022 Ford Explorer Platinum ST

Come on now, there are TONS of people out there with better mechanical skills than me. Ever watch Hot Rod Garage:LOL: It was a challenge for sure but it was just like taking a puzzle apart and putting it back together except it was nuts and bolts.

Converting crossmember from 1 bolt to 2

Thanks. The more I think about it, if you had a wrenching buddy that you can feed beers to, the job would not be nearly as difficult. I like the idea of the Torsen, I would rather have a posi than let the computer apply the brake to get traction on the other wheel. If you are considering that...

In the long run, $200 is worth it to get the work done. However I agree that they should not have doubled it.

Better safe than sorry. I agonized about ordering it wondering if i had the right part number so I completely understand.

Converting crossmember from 1 bolt to 2

I'm not gonna lie, I feel a newfound confidence in my Explorer, legit or not:D Even if it is only psychological, I'll take it! I feel better now about all the bruises on my body. Been on blood thinners for a few years and I always take a beating doing car work.

    2022 Ford Explorer Platinum ST

I take that back, I am mistaken. I just checked my receipt and it was for a MB5Z-5035-E. It was $1500 delivered from Sunrise Ford. Sorry for the bad info.

    2022 Ford Explorer Platinum ST

I got the -F from a thread here. Can't remember the member but he bought one and it was correct and I didn't want to screw up a non-returnable order. Not sure what if any difference there is for the PIU. I know they have to be able to sustain a 70MPH rear end collision so there may be some...
