    Blown Transmission

I think the warranty labor rate from Ford is a fixed price and is lower than typical shop rates. They can always find shortcuts to make money on the labor if their mechanics are any good. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Intake system

As mentioned, you might get a slight bump but unlikely you would notice. With a tune you might get 10-15hp tops out of the intake. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    A New Sync Issue

https://www.ford.com/support/how-tos/sync/sync-updates/how-do-i-install-sync-updates-using-a-usb-or-wi-fi/ USB seems to be more reliable. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    A New Sync Issue

That’s a known bad software version with lots of problems. Many have updated to the current version and it has cleared up their issues. For some it required a hardware replacement. I would update manually (usb) and see if that improves things before I even visited a dealer. Sent from my...

    Replacing Front Rotors and Pads.

I have never even heard of needing maintenance mode for front brakes on any normal automobile. Unless you put it into maintenance mode there is no way it gets there by itself. I just did big brakes and needed nothing software wise for the front. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Blown Transmission

Yeah that’s pretty lame imo. But at least I know to watch the vent tube whenever I get around to installing my DPs [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Transmission Fluid Change - Should I or wait?

Makes car life a lot easier for sure. I got tired of working on my back in the driveway as a youngster so I bought a tool company later in life[emoji23]. Good thing too, the older I get the harder it is to crawl around. Heck my hands are sore for two days sometimes after a day of playing...

Transmission Fluid Change - Should I or wait?

Technically you dump half of what you put in yes but it mixes with the old fluid. You change 50% then drive around and do another change of 50% gets you almost 70% fluid change. Yes a transfer service gets near 100%. For those of us that maintain our own vehicles and don’t like needlessly...

New ST owner / first turbo'd vehicle

Congrats and enjoy! Intercooler and exhaust to suit your ear. I like the thermal. Lowering springs if you like the look. Wheels, sway bar, end links, subframe bushing kit, etc. the list can be long if you like. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Transmission Fluid Change - Should I or wait?

Or do a double drain fill after driving around a bit in between if you like doing it yourself. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Transmission Fluid Change - Should I or wait?

I always do a filter change on the first fluid change to get all the wear-in debris out. My second fluid change at 50k will be no filter, just suck and fill. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

BIG brakes for our Explorers, this time affordable

Same size. I have Steeda springs. Wanted a little taller sidewall than a 30 or 35 for a slightly softer ride. The Michelins are light years better than the oem Pirellis IMO. Really happy with them so far. Looking good! Sucks trying to keep clean in winter. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
