If I wanted to have some general road noise reduction, and was only 10% as handy as you and/or as willing to pull every panel off, what would you recommend to focus on? Which areas?

I'm irked by the massive amount of road noise and will consider some deadening, but knowing myself - I could develop such a sickness, just because of deadening.

That a little heavy…mine was 25’ and I had plenty to spare. Not a lot extra…but a comfortable margin.

What did you use to glue it? I think they called for Super 90, but I have some Weldwood Landau that works for just about anything.

Lots of places I just laid it in and let gravity do its job. Where I did need it to stick I just used Super 77. That stuff is super light…it doesn’t need much to hold it on until the panels are back in place.

@UNBROKEN did you do any sound deadening treatment behind the headliner? I'm stalling on doing the roof rail delete and it's the only place I haven't hit.

The problem is I know myself - I’ll walk into a shop and end up spending $12k when all is said and done. I have no self control when it comes to audio

12K MAY actually not be that high anymore!! The cost of good name brand sound proofin cost bucks. Then the wiring isnt cheap.. Of course u will break some clips and need to buy some of them . The cost of what you will use for your amp rack.. You can be in for $350 if you are super lucky and a grand or so b4 you sgtart to pick out the actual gear ...Unbroken is doing what and how he is doing it so he can bring home hardware from sound comps ! And he seems successful at it @!!! So try olt to follow what he does exactly un less you have a fair amlount of cash to play with ...

$12K wouldn’t cover the front speakers and fab work if a shop recreated my install….unfortunately. It’s stupid expensive.

i did almost that extreme in my wifes 2012 edge
dropped out side noise levels from 70 db to 68 db at 65 mph on the high traction asphalt TXDOT puts down
nothing seems to stop that hideous freaking drone of 3/8 and 1/4 gravel in the tar...
spent a week and much dinero and still was not happy.

our 23 st seems to be very much quieter
i need to run a test on it .
i did notice the space under the spare needs attention..
have not looked at the doors yet
