Yeah what does the plumb back version mean?
Is there a difference between plumb and dual port?

plumb back is recirculate (like OEM) vs. ~50% recirc and VTA (PSHH!) for the dual port. I don't think the latter would pass my state's emissions inspection so I got the plumb back.

Thanks. I did do some research since I posted my question. I guess my next question since its seems up for debate is:
Does the 50/50 dual port bov cause boost pressure loss? People say the plumb 100% recirculating bov is better at holding boost pressure due to the 100%push back to intake manifold. If the dual port does lose boost pressure how much? Seems like it loses enough for people to post their concerns about it.

I called Ford to ask how long it will take to install the Turbo smart dual port bov and they said 1.5hrs...
Is this a difficult job? I see many videos on Youtube where it takes approx 15min to install?!?
Is there something different with the '21 ST that causes it to take more time?
Ford said due to the Whipple IC and other mods it will be more difficult.
They've been fair with me so far for all my mod installs even doing the down pipes in 4hrs instead of 4.5 to 5hrs as they originally quoted.
Something seems off to me. Can anyone confirm if it really takes 1.5hrs to install, tks.

No, it should take around 15-20 minutes if you know what you are doing, 30 mins if not. You remove the airbox and then the hardest part is finding the right combination of universal joints and extenders for your ratchet. I wouldn't pay someone $20 to install it, let alone 1.5hr at shop rate.

This is the one I watched. Fatguy builds who I believe sold the ST not that long ago.
Anyway, do you need to use that 'Right Stuff' to seal the grooves around the o ring?

Anyone have anyway to put in the bottom screw for the bov? I got it out but I cant get it back in now. 2 top screws went in but bottom csnt go in. Not enough room and the angle is impossible with 10mm socket wrench. Do you guys just leave it out?

it should be 8mm, I used a deep socket. 10mm is for the filter housing nut. i literally just finished changing mine like 2 hrs ago. make sure it is seated properly, you need to press it in a little at all 3 points, then press in the bottom bolt by hand and start turning it; it eventually starts threading and then use the 8mm socket.

I got the top 2 in and tightened. The bottom one I was able to get on by hand and tighten just enough so the screw stands straight however I can't get the socket wrench over the head of the screw to start tightening it as there isn't enough room to maneuver the wrench. I can barely tighten the screw enough by hand. The top 2 are aligned and already tightened.
Another thing I noticed is the bov went on sideways. In the video the guy put it on with the wire facing up. I could get mine on like that so it went sideways with the wire facing to the left. I belive someone said the same thing on his 2021.

in the video they installed a VR2 which may be a little different. I installed a VR13. the wire is facing left, sounds like what you are describing. i used a small socket wrench 1/4 I think with a deep socket 8mm and you need to work it

I'll give it another go but yes it's a VR13 so the install was a bit different than the VR2 (wire left vs up).

I have an October 21 and FenFabrication makes a charge pipe kit with BOV. I installed it and it works
