Lowering Springs: Lethal, Eibach, Steeda, H&R PROS and CONS

I have the same problem as well.
Steeda did offer to send a new set, however I didn't want to pay to have the replacement done again.

I had my steeda springs installed a couple of weeks ago. I like the ride, but they are sitting lower on the back than on the front by 1/4 inch. I don't like that. Were they installed backwards, maybe, or are they still settling?

Yes, backwards!!! Steeda springs sit with a rake, or front dropped more than rear.
It's clearly stated on the spring as to where they go. Get your money back and go somewhere else !!!

Thanks, Steeda Tech, reviewing my pictures now. Sent them measurement pics of all four wheel/fender spaces along with part #s as installed on the front and rear. We'll see what Steeda says... Thanks for response.

You the same guy that reported this a few weeks ago and steeda offered spacers? Something must be going on with their quality control or they changed the design (which I doubt). Rear gap has always been noticeably larger than front for Steeda. Maybe a bad production run or mislabeled springs.

Not me, but I read that somewhere too. Nevertheless, Steeda support was awesome and they sent me new rear springs. I’ll give an update when I get them installed.

Steeda front and rear springs. I drove it on 9 hour road trip…loaded four guys w/ golf bags and luggage. It never felt sluggish and felt it handled the load pretty well. I’m loving it at 13,000 miles!

Finally got the Eibach's on. Loved the sets I had before and these do not disappoint. Last thing is to trim studs for the spacers and get the proper stance.

I’m the guy that had the same issue a couple weeks ago. They were very receptive and sent spacers and then replacement springs when the spacers migrated under load. I have since installed a set of Eibachs, love the drop but want more of a rake

That's lame. Steeda should have known that's not right and not have you experiment with spacers as a solution. That just costs you more $ for install and alignment--not to mention wasting your time!

That’s Eibach? The front looks MUCH lower than the 1.3inches as advertised.

I have a set of Steedas that just got delivered, but seriously considering Eibach before I install them. I’m not seeing many users sharing Eibach experience on the Exploder ST. They’re appealing to me because they level the ride height and advertise to only drop it 1.3 front and 1.6 rear. All other springs are too low in my opinion. I want to lower my Exploder slightly without it being obvious it’s lowered, I’m still treating it like an SUV, and the slammed look looks cheesy to me, especially on an SUV. Steeda was my first choice but I’m worried about rust, as many users have complained about. However, I’ve heard from a few that they don’t have rust issues on theirs..

I’m worried Eibach may still be a tad too low, but also the few pictures I have seen seem to show the Ex ST being much lower than the advertised 1.3/1.6 F/R. I kinda want to go Eibach route if I hear from more user’s positive experience. Or I’ll keep my Steedas if I hear from more users not experiencing rust issues.
