Hello Guys!

I really love the desing and capabilities from the Explorer ST 2025, therefore Im planning to buy one for my family but doing some research at google I just realized that there are many complaints with this SUV such as:

- Infotainment failures
- PCM failures
- Bad Quality of assembly, many noises at the cabin.
- Electronic issues, brakes flailure, steering and all systems.
- Engine and transmisison issues.

I would really appreciate your honest input in terms you can guide me if these problems really exist or not. Im not willing to pay for some vehicule that has a lot of complaints at atll. You as users, you really recommend it?

Many thanks!

Infotainment sometimes crashes sometimes, but it’s not all out failures. Never heard of PCM failures. Noises, yes, unfortunately that is common. Electronic issues, not really common. Engine and transmission failures are uncommon.

I've yet to have one that occurred more than once, or has come back repeatedly.

I've just completed the first year of ownership of my 2025 ST (7,500 miles) and haven't had any problems with it. It's had three recalls that haven't been for showstopper issues. I bought this car with some trepidation after reading of reliability issues with Gen 6 Explorers but from monitoring forums like this one it seemed that by 2025 most big issues have been remedied. Don't get me wrong, the SUV has some idiosyncratic behaviors with the electronics that are more annoying than incapacitating. So far I'm pretty satisfied with my purchase and I enjoy being behind the wheel of the ST. Good luck.
