OEM Jeep Rubicon vents with the bottom cut off to make them functional held on the 3M VHB tape after I cut giant holes in the hood. lol

Swapped in an Escort M2 dash cam to replace my M1 and modified the mount I made to attach it to the Blendmount…now the camera is tucked up behind the mirror and completely out of sight. IMG_1549.jpeg

It’s a combination of Blendmount, Escort camera mount and a piece I made to join them together.

It’s a combination of Blendmount, Escort camera mount and a piece I made to join them together.
There is probably a thread on this that I missed, but I have 2 cameras to install (front/interior & rear). In my '16 Limited anytime I didn't start the truck for about 2-3 days I would come back and my battery would be drained. I replaced the battery on that thing (warranty) about 2-3 times per year. Any suggestions on something like an underseat battery or something that I can hook these cameras up to so that I don't have the same problem again?

Not trying to take over your thread, just thought you would be in the know...

UNBROKEN, how are you liking the Waido rear spoiler? Is it at all flimsy using the 3m tape and did your drain hole work as you thought? I am also curious when you wash the car if you get moisture dripping after you dry the car

I love it…nothing flimsy about it at all. And no water issues either.

I needed more adjustment range than the fixed length FenFab toe links give…so these are from Steeda are going on tonight.

Waido side skirts are on but the lighting is atrocious right now…I’ll get better pics tomorrow. For install I had to rethink my plan because the skirts aren’t shaped like I thought they would be.

I marked out and pre-drilled 1/4” holes in the skirts then added 3M VHB tape and stuck them in place. Next I pre-drilled 1/8” holes through the plastic the runs along the bottom then ran in #14 x 5/8” sheet metal screws with split lock washers and 1” fender washers to spread the load out. Seems pretty solid. They look great…my pics all sucked. lol

Things ordered and on the way:
PIU struts and shocks…I crossed 80k miles so it’s just time.
S&B CAI to replace the AFE…nothing wrong with the old one I just like the S&B better. I don’t really like the red filters so I’m gonna wash those clean and use blue oil instead.

Also ordered the Steeda rear bushing brace kit and also their vertical link brace kit to use until FenFab finishes his billet vertical link.

And I have some issues it fix at the same time. The usual shaft speed sensor and also the purge valve are on the fritz so those are sitting here too but there’s nothing fun about that. lol

The front caster and camber are gonna land where they land but will be in spec…camber is usually between -.8° and -1°…set toe normally. Rear camber should be set as close to -.5° as the car will allow then also set toe normally. You won’t have any issues at all.

PIU shock and strut update. First…I replaced 81K mile oem ST parts…obviously they were worn. I could collapse the shocks by hand where I had to sit on the new ones to compress them. Until someone has ST and PIU parts on a shock dyno it’s all just a guess but I will say I do like them. Firmer at lower speeds in my neighborhood and pretty damn legit on the highway. I was just driving minding my own business when I ran into Travis Ellisor so now I can also say they’re nice and composed up to about 125mph. lol
Would I do it again? Absolutely…the car feels fantastic again.

Also installed the Steeda parts…the bushing brace kit dropped right in…took 20 minutes tops after the wheels were off. The vertical link brace fits perfectly but the top nut on each side is a pain to get to. That’s not Steedas fault…they’re very nice parts.
