Just took delivery of a new beautiful ST machine. All great but dealership left tires at 50 pounds cold. This is the absolute max pressure for the Pirelli Scorpion all seasons and read that Ford sets them to 50 during shipping on railcars to prevent flattening. I thought it seemed to ride very very harsh. The placard on the door states 33 pounds. I depressurized the tires to 33 and what a difference it makes. Has anyone else had this happen on a brand new Explorer ST or really any other vehicle you bought new? Never happened to me and I'm 70! I did call the dealership and let them know, but they did not seem to care. I will be taking it to another dealership for maintenance in the future.

Not uncommon at all and this happens with many brands/dealerships. It is just poor PDI processing.

That’s really stupidly high. Mine were at the correct PSI, although I keep mine around 38 cold now.

Happens all the time and there’s nothing to worry about. Lower it to where it should be and forget about it.
