Brand new owner of a 2026 Explorer ST in Vapor Blue. I am trying to figure out what the seat material is made of and the best products and way to care for them. My friend who owns one says it's Alcantara but upon closer inspection I think she is wrong. Any tips and tricks you can give me would be greatly appreciated. No issues yet with the fabric cleanliness, but it's only a matter of time.

I use this for the seats and in the interior in general. Been using it since January of this year, and the seats are holding up fine.

If it's not leather, it's Alcantara. My 2026 has it too.

Alcantara is an expensive synthetic fabric made by a Japanese-owned company in Italy (they also produce UltraSuede). Based on its cost, I doubt Ford would use it anywhere except in their most expensive, limited edition vehicles. There are plenty of cheaper microfiber substitutes produced but, they not actual Alcantara.

My Charger had Alcantara seats, nothing special about it and much less expensive than an Explorer ST.

Get yourself a soft bristle brush for suede/alcantara leather, looks like this. You could probably pick one up at walmart.
